[MHCISQD] Chapter 416: Surprising Improvement

On the following day, Renault, who had nothing special to do, lazily slept in until noon.

There was no other option, given the events that unfolded the previous night. When he returned home and tried to go back to sleep, it was already almost three in the afternoon. Plus, with nothing on his schedule for the morning, Renault had given up on the idea of getting up.

Yawning as he descended the stairs, Renault fixed himself a quick breakfast of toast slathered with jam and then headed straight to the library.

In the library, Yaoyorozu had already been studying when Renault arrived. Upon spotting her, Renault made his way over.

"You finally got up." Yaoyorozu said, taking a sip of the coffee Renault had brewed for her in his thermos. "You were out late last night, weren't you?"

She had guessed this much. After all, unless something significant had happened the previous night, Renault wouldn't have slept in until noon.

Renault shrugged, taking his textbooks out of his bag. "A few rats snuck in. They managed to evade the school's security systems, but thankfully, I was alert enough to prevent any incidents."

"Who? League of Villains or Shocker?"

"Neither. They're a troublesome bunch of their own." Renault replied, hesitating about revealing his identity as the reincarnator. The more people who knew about those individuals, the more complicated things got.

This time, Renault decided to disclose the reincarnator's identity to Yaoyorozu, hoping to make her more vigilant.

"Reincarnator, traveling to different worlds to complete missions and causing havoc in each one?"

Listening to Renault's account, Yaoyorozu set down her pen and sighed. "Why does this world keep getting stranger? We have villains, and now, there's an organization like Shocker that's even larger than the League of Villains. Just when we'd managed to deal with the Meta Liberation Army, these new threats emerged."

"It's just the way things are in this world..." Renault said with a shrug. "With Quirks and Superpowers, it's natural for all sorts of things to happen."

Renault raised his hand and ruffled Yaoyorozu's long hair, offering a reassuring smile. "But don't worry, we'll definitely win."

"I know that, and I've always been confident," Yaoyorozu replied with a smile, pointing to Renault's textbooks. "But for now, let's focus on our studies, future great hero."

"No rights until graduation, huh? I guess I'll have to temporarily add 'future' to my title." Renault responded with a wry smile and started reading his textbook.

However, as soon as he lowered his head, he raised it again.

"By the way, you and Hado-senpai didn't say anything strange last night, did you?"

"Hmm?" Yaoyorozu turned to Renault, wearing a mischievous smile. "Nope, nothing strange."

Renault gave her a scrutinizing look, knowing that she was probably not telling the truth, but he decided to let it go and continued to focus on his studies.

In the evening, after spending the entire afternoon studying, two people returned to the dormitory.

As soon as they got back, Renault knew that Yaoyorozu and Hado were hiding something.

In the kitchen, Hado was surprisingly accompanied by a few girls, busy preparing dinner.

After setting their things down, Renault glanced at Midoriya and the others in the living room and asked, "About dinner tonight..."

Midoriya nodded and said, "Yeah, it was supposed to be Iida and Ojiro's turn to cook, but just as we were about to start, Hado-senpai showed up and insisted on making dinner herself. She even shooed the two of them out and took the girls to the kitchen with her."

Iida chimed in, looking somewhat helpless, "We really can't say no to Senpai. She's quite determined in her own way."

Ojiro, looking at Renault, asked, "Renault, can we actually eat Senpai's cooking?"

Renault raised an eyebrow, "Why are you asking me?"

Bakugo, who had been playing games on his console, chimed in, "Who else should we ask? You're the one closest to her."

Renault scratched his head, "I have a feeling you guys are misunderstanding something."

Renault knew that these guys were likely overthinking it, and he added, "It's already in progress, so what's the point of asking me? Plus, don't think you can escape. If she catches you trying to avoid her, it won't just be about filling your stomach anymore."

Recalling Hado's abilities, the few guys who had considered sneaking away reluctantly abandoned the idea and awaited their fate.

After changing into fresh clothes upstairs, Renault came back downstairs and approached the kitchen door. He knocked and asked, "Can you guys handle it in there?"

The kitchen door swung open, revealing Uraraka. She looked at Renault and said, "Renault-kun, how can you not trust us? You know, when it comes to average cooking skills, we girls are not worse than you guys!"

Renault shook his head, "No, no, you misunderstand. I'm concerned about Hado-senpai. From what I know, she probably doesn't have much experience in cooking."

Hado, who was busy at the stove, turned around and said, "Renault, just wait and see. I'm going to give you a huge surprise soon!"

Renault chuckled, "As long as it's not a shock."

With things as they were, Renault had no choice but to leave the kitchen and return to the living room with the others, where they continued to wait.

During the wait, Renault leaned over to Yaoyorozu and whispered, "Are you sure everything will be okay?"

Yaoyorozu smiled and replied, "People can make much greater progress than you imagine when they have a goal in mind, especially girls. You know, once they have a goal, they can work really hard to change themselves."

Her words left Renault unsure of how to respond. He just glanced at the kitchen door and resumed playing with his phone.

Typically, in a situation like this, he would have been ecstatic. However, he couldn't help but notice that there were now several girls around him, and he didn't know if he could muster more energy for any additional relationships.

Still, even after Renault had provided her with some subtle hints, Hado's attitude remained unchanged. If anything, she seemed even more determined.

Well, it was complicated.

And an hour later, dinner confirmed just how remarkable her progress had been.

In a mere two months, Hado had gone from a girl who could only eat to someone with impressive cooking skills.

It was truly a surprising improvement.
