When they returned home that evening, Mikoto and Yaoyorozu couldn't make it back. They also didn't ask Renault to use his teleport abilities to bring them back since they were confident that he was busy with the office's mission. So this time, it was only him and Hado in the house.

The next day, after having breakfast, Renault, accompanied by Hado, rode a motorcycle to Nighteye's office.

When the motorcycle stopped in front of the office, they coincidentally saw Endeavor and Todoroki, father and son, getting out of a car.

According to Todoroki's recent accounts, Endeavor had brought his long-hospitalized mother back home. Relations with his elder brother and elder sister had also improved. Endeavor had transformed entirely, which was a positive development.

The previous Endeavor, though an outstanding hero, was hard for people to agree with in other aspects. Even All Might had recently commented that Endeavor's performance in missions had astonished the masses as if he were an entirely different person.

Though many questioned this, more people were starting to accept the gradually established image of the new No. 1.

Upon seeing Renault and Hado's arrival, the father and son stopped in their tracks.

"Good morning, Renault, Hado-senpai." Todoroki greeted first.

"Morning." After acknowledging Todoroki, Renault looked at Endeavor. "Good morning, Endeavor."

"Morning, everyone!" Hado also followed suit with a greeting.

Endeavor nodded at them. "Good morning. It's about time; let's go in."

The four entered the building together and saw several Pro Heroes who had already arrived, including Best Jeanist, Edgeshot, Mirko, Kamui Woods, and Mt. Lady.

Of course, Midoriya and the other four who, like Renault and Todoroki, qualified for the off-campus work study, had also gathered.

Ryukyu, who was supposed to come as well, chose to take a rare break this time. Renault and Hado, representing her office, were sure to silence any objections with their strength.

Todoroki stood next to Renault and asked, "I heard Ryukyu went on vacation?"

"Yeah..." Renault nodded. "The mission this time got her pretty stressed, so she went to a friend's resort to relax. She even left the office under my management. Senpai and I are handling this mission together."

Endeavor was surprised to hear about this for the first time, glancing at Renault. "Looks like Ryukyu really trusts you. From what I know, she's been managing her office crucially since its establishment. Handing it over to you is quite a show of confidence. Seems like she has high hopes for your future."

"I'm well aware of that, so I won't let her down." Renault responded with a smile.

After waiting for five minutes in the lobby, Nighteye appeared before everyone.

His left arm's injury had healed, but the vanished hand was now replaced with a mechanical prosthetic. Fortunately, whether in terms of Quirk or combat, the loss of his left arm didn't seem to have a significant impact.

Surveying all the Pro Heroes present, Nighteye pushed up his glasses and said, "Thanks for coming, everyone. Now, let's head to the conference room for a briefing on the operation two days from now."

Guided by Nighteye's sidekick, everyone took their seats in the large conference room, and Nighteye began the meeting.

"You're probably aware of the general situation." Nighteye said, opening a projection and displaying a national map. "Our target this time is a large Shocker Organization base. We've secretly investigated and found it to be the largest among all the Shocker bases we've destroyed so far, at least the size of three large stadiums."

Best Jeanist, upon hearing this, showed surprise in his face covered by the cowboy collar.

"Such a large-scale base, where is it constructed?"

"It's quite close to us." Nighteye said while pressing a button on his remote control. The national map on the big screen continuously zoomed in and finally settled on a familiar location for everyone.

Seeing the shocked expressions, Nighteye nodded.

"Yes, right under Mt. Fuji."

But soon, a Pro Hero raised a question, "Isn't Mt. Fuji an active volcano? And there are constant checks on it, right?"

"Yes, we're all aware of that." Nighteye acknowledged, starting to explain. "It all started when we detected anomalies at the Mt. Fuji monitoring station. Without alerting anyone, we began investigating and discovered that all the station personnel had been kidnapped and replaced by Shocker's people. My office's hero witnessed one of the staff members transforming into a Kaijin during surveillance."

Showing a photo taken from a distance of a Kaijin in an office, Nighteye continued, "From there, we started the investigation and found out that Shocker has built such a massive base right under an active volcano, using the lava for its operations."

Renault, in a lowered voice, commented, "They've really attracted attention to an active volcano. Indeed, the energy within an active volcano is a valuable resource if Shocker's technology allows."

Nighteye continued. "The volcanic activity readings at Mt. Fuji have been stable recently, unlike the predictions given before the monitoring station was occupied. So, this is also a point of suspicion. In these days, we've confirmed that this large base is located 700 meters deep underground."

"Shocker is quite something, silently pulling off all this in such a short time." Endeavor tapped his fingers on the table. "So, what about the scale of villains inside the base?"

"It won't be smaller than the scale we faced when jointly battling the three factions before."

After saying this, Nighteye showed a picture of a Kaijin in an office taken from afar.

"We don't know the exact number of villains or Kaijin inside, but it's definitely more than we predicted. That's why we've gathered this many top heroes for this mission. And, this time, our heroes will act alone, with the police only responsible for perimeter security."

After a brief pause, Nighteye addressed everyone, "The operation is tentatively set to start at 8 AM the day after tomorrow. I hope you all can prepare in these two days; we may change the plan at any time."

Everyone nodded solemnly.
