Chapter 44: First

In an instant, the three of them took down a huge villain bot, but except for the hot-tempered and straightforward Bakugo Katsuki, both Renault and Todoroki Shoto had tampered with the villain bot. Todoroki Shoto froze the villain bot in action, so when the opponent was frozen, the huge robot that was still moving forward stopped for a few seconds before continuing to fall forward.

The huge robot covered in ice crashed into the ground. The giant robot confronted by Renault was directly scrapped and dismembered after he controlled the current inside his body, smashing like falling flowers toward the many students behind him.

Looking at the mechanical arm falling towards him, Iida Tenya activated his Quirk, swiftly dodging the falling debris, and then biting his teeth as he watched Renault leisurely running ahead of him.

On the screen, Renault, who was slightly ahead by half a body length, was simultaneously attacked from the left by Todoroki Shoto and from the right by Bakugo Katsuki.

"Is this how it's going to be? Thank you for thinking so highly of me," Renault lightly laughed. He paused for a moment, then dodged the two arms crossing in front of him by tilting his head back. At the same time, he placed his hands on the sides of the two people who were unable to defend themselves in time.

Even though his first attack was missed, he couldn't afford to fall behind to third place. Todoroki Shoto also reacted quickly and blocked Bakugo Katsuki's attack with his raised hand. However, the sound of the explosion made Todoroki Shoto furrow his brow.

The guy's Quirk caused a loud noise. Behind the two people, more and more participants who had dealt with the villain bots obstacle were charging toward them. Bakugo Katsuki and Todoroki Shoto reduced the number of times they clashed and increased their speed.

"Good! Very fast! The second challenge has already appeared. What will the contestants do next?"

After the villain bots obstacle, everyone was presented with a massive abyss. The distance between the two cliff edges was almost one kilometer, and there were numerous stone pillars in the middle connected by ropes. If they wanted to reach the other side, they had to use these ropes, unless they could fly.

Looking at the checkpoint in front of him, Renault floated up slowly, laughing, "This challenge is too easy for me."

Turning his head to see Bakugo Katsuki and Todoroki Shoto catching up, Renault waved his hand and then soared into the air. One kilometer was nothing to him.

Frowning, Todoroki Shoto was not hesitant and directly stepped onto one of the ropes in front of him. He instantly froze the rope with ice under his feet and moved forward on the frozen rope. Although he was not as fast as Renault, he was still incredibly quick.

Bakugo Katsuki followed closely behind Todoroki Shoto, continuously detonating his hands and propelling himself forward on the rope.

What was previously a very challenging obstacle for others became effortless for these three.

At this point, the first-place runner, Renault, had also arrived on the other side, but he didn't stop, continuing to accelerate until he reached the last checkpoint up ahead in the blink of an eye.

A landmine field?
