Chapter 66: Misunderstanding!

Under the cover of the night, eight people dressed in black and fully armed quietly approached the estate.

As they reached the entrance of the estate, the leader took out a walkie-talkie and whispered, "We're here."

Soon, the mansion gate opened, revealing a nervous-looking servant.

"How's the situation?" The leader asked him.

"It's very safe. Mr. Avery is resting on the first floor. Many servants left after the death of the master, so there's only one person on duty at night. Miss's room is the last one on the west side..." The servant spoke nervously. "Can... can we do it?"

"Don't worry, we can definitely do it," the leader replied.

"And what about my share?" the servant asked anxiously.

The leader scrutinized the servant until his legs started shaking. Then, he gave a not-so-pleasant smile, patted the servant's shoulder, and said, "Don't worry, you'll get your share. Our boat is parked on the beach. You can go wait for us there to avoid getting caught in the crossfire later."

"Tha- Thank you..." The servant let out a sigh of relief, obeyed the leader's instructions, and ran towards the beach. However, as soon as he ran past the leader, the leader pulled out a silenced handgun from his waist and shot him in the back of the head without a word.

The servant fell to the ground without a sound.

"Young people these days don't know how to follow the rules and always ask unnecessary questions," the leader said, putting away his gun. "Follow me."

The group quietly made their way through the garden and arrived at the villa.

"Four on one side, go in and suppress quickly. Clear the second floor. Klein will tie up the girl, and then we'll quickly leave through the front door," the leader assigned missions to the group.

"Why don't we just kill them all..." Klein, who was standing nearby, muttered quietly.

"The employer said not to complicate things..." The leader ruthlessly patted Klein's head and said,

"You killers really make people uneasy. Remember, if you encounter someone, don't resist, and don't shoot. Do what the employer says." Seeing everyone nodding, he waved his hand and said, "Now, let's move."

At his command, the eight people quickly spread out evenly, with four on the east side and four on the west. They took out their grappling hooks and shot them onto the roof of the villa. The leader on the eastern side made a tactical gesture towards the others, and then several people climbed up the outer wall of the villa at the same time.

Carefully and cautiously climbing to the outside of the second-floor window, the leader whispered into the communicator, "Go in!"

In an instant, accompanied by a loud smashing sound, the leader rushed forward and broke through the curtain blocking his way. However, before his feet could touch the ground, he felt a hand grabbing his face fiercely. The next second, he felt his head spinning and was thrown heavily onto the floor.

The air in his lungs was instantly squeezed out, and his blurred vision gradually focused as he struggled to open his eyes. What he saw was a huge floor-to-ceiling window and a naked man crouching in front of him in the moonlight.

At this moment, the naked man's face was wearing a crazy smile like he had found his prey. There were two women standing behind him, one tall and one short, one wrapped in a sheet and the other wrapped in a quilt. The shorter one was staring at him with red eyes and an expressionless face, while the taller one was even scarier. Although she had a bright smile on her face, he felt that she was emitting a terrifying aura, as if she was going to torture him alive.

What was going on here?

"Hey, look who's here? The trash of Black Umbrella?" The naked man sneered and said gratefully mentally, 'I'm safe! Good timing brother!'

'Wait... what is Black Umbrella? Did you mistake me for someone else?' As he watched the naked man pull out the dagger from his waist, he wanted to resist, but that punch just now was too heavy. He could barely maintain his consciousness now.

The knife pierced the man's eye socket, and then the naked man, Li Yexing got up.

"Godammit!" He cursed, grabbing the gun from the corpse and rushing out.

He saw the two women wearing lingerie standing in the hallway, covered in bloodstains. Two bodies wearing black clothing were lying on the ground next to them, one with a head smashed like a jam against the wall, and the other lying on its back with two bloody holes where the eyes used to be.

"You lowly maggots, dare to lay eyes on me and Miss' body." Licking the blood on her fingers, the elegant maid's face revealed a cruel smile.

Suddenly, as if sensing someone behind her, she and Lilith turned their heads together, only to see Li Yexing standing at the door, holding a gun and looking at them with a confused expression.

Compared to the calm Lilith, Rita's reaction was a bit excessive.

"I- I'm sorry for letting you see me in such an undignified state," Rita's expression instantly became a little flustered as she bowed to Li Yexing, making him feel inexplicably amused.

However, at that moment, a person wearing black suddenly rushed out of the room near the second-floor hall behind Rita.

"Monster!!!" He yelled in panic, raising his gun at Rita.

But Li Yexing was faster than him. In the instant he raised his gun, his forehead exploded in a shower of blood, and he fell straight to the ground.

"I'll go check what happened. It seems like there's not much of a problem. Don't worry, go back and put on your clothes first," Li Yexing put down his gun and said to the two girls.

"Okay, Master." Rita, who had calmed down, led Lilith back to their room.

"Tsk..." Watching the two of them return to the room, Li Yexing frowned and muttered to himself, "I think I... made a mistake. Maybe I should have asked that brother first what he was here for before killing him."
