Chapter 56: Climax

Uraraka Ochaco couldn't believe that her carefully planned and executed plan failed in the end due to the huge gap in strength between her and her opponent. She felt a deep sense of despair, but in the next moment, she gritted her teeth and continued to move forward.

"It's not over yet!!!" she exclaimed.

However, just as she took two steps forward, Uraraka Ochaco lost her balance and fell to the ground.

"Uraraka!" the Class A students exclaimed in worry as they watched her fall.

Renault watched as Uraraka's body twitched on the ground, unable to continue despite her desire to do so, and said, "Her physical endurance has reached its limit. She was able to endure Bakugo's attacks while constantly using her Quirk and avoiding detection. Uraraka relied solely on her willpower to hold on until now, which is already remarkable."

Indeed, Bakugo Katsuki's attacks were impervious, and even the other Class A students, including the boys, would have struggled in the same situation.

Finally, after a few more attempts to crawl forward, Uraraka Ochaco collapsed and passed out, having done everything she could.

Midnight immediately went up on stage to inspect and announced, "Uraraka Ochaco is unable to continue, Bakugo-kun advances to the second round."

Soon, medical staff rushed in with a stretcher to carry Uraraka Ochaco away for treatment.

Meanwhile, Renault noticed the jacket left behind by Uraraka Ochaco on the stage. The jacket was not torn apart by Bakugo Katsuki's attack but had some black scorch marks. It seems that Bakugo Katsuki had held back a bit during the attack.

After thinking for a moment, Midoriya Izuku stood up and walked into the nearby passage. Renault and the others understood what he was going to do. Midoriya Izuku was closer to Uraraka Ochaco than anyone else, so it was appropriate for him to go.

Renault watched as Kirishima Eijiro and Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu got ready to compete again and stood up to go to the backcourt to prepare.

"Ah, Renault-kun, wait for me!" Ashido Mina noticed and hurried to catch up with Renault.

"Renault-kun, you're not going to be like Bakugo, are you? I'm not your opponent!" The pink-skinned girl said to Renault.

Renault smiled and replied, "Don't worry, Ashido. Bakugo and I are of different types. I won't attack at the beginning, so I'll give you a chance to show your full strength. How about that?"

"Haha, thank you so much!" Ashido Mina replied with a smile.

In the Fighting Tournament, Kirishima Eijiro and Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu faced off in an arm-wrestling match, with Kirishima Eijiro emerging victorious and advancing to the second round after a ten-minute break. Compared to the first round, each match in the second round was much more exciting.

Ashido Mina knew she was no match for Renault, but Renault was gracious and allowed her to showcase her full power from the start. She displayed swift and diverse attacks, holding on for nearly five minutes before being knocked out of the ring by Renault's attack.

The second match was between Todoroki Shoto and Iida Tenya.

Iida Tenya's Quirk was Engine, which gave him speed, so most of his attacks relied on his legs. However, he struggled against Todoroki Shoto, whose ice blocked every attempt by Iida Tenya to increase his speed, forcing him to either smash through the obstruction or change direction. In the end, Todoroki Shoto took advantage of Iida's overheated Quirk to freeze his feet and knock him out of the ring with a single blow.

Although he ultimately lost, everyone could see that Iida had caused Todoroki Shoto significant stress.

In the third match, Tokoyami Fumikage faced off against Kirishima Eijiro. At this point, the audience realized that all of the remaining participants in the Elimination Tournament were from Class A of the Hero Department. The tournament had become an internal battle among Class A.

It was clear that Class A had the strongest overall strength, with many individuals boasting exceptional abilities.

Whether it was the audience in front of the TV or on-site, many people had the same thought in their minds.

In the third match, the two opponents were evenly matched at first. Tokoyami Fumikage was skilled in mid-range attacks using Dark Shadow, with both speed and attack power being formidable. Kirishima Eijiro, on the other hand, relied on his Hardening ability to withstand Tokoyami Fumikage's attacks while charging forward.

However, in the end, Tokoyami Fumikage proved to be the superior fighter. He seized an opportunity when Kirishima Eijiro's defenses momentarily dropped and claimed victory.

With this, three of the four finalists had been determined: Renault, Todoroki Shoto, and Tokoyami Fumikage.

"This is the last match of the second round."

"I'm a little scared to watch," Iida Tenya said, watching Midoriya Izuku and Bakugo Katsuki, who had already taken the stage.

"A showdown between childhood friends? These two really have some bad karma," Renault remarked as he watched the two combatants.

"Ah! Did I miss anything?" Uraraka Ochaco's voice rang out, and everyone turned to see her with swollen eyes as she took her seat in the contestant's area.

"Ochaco-chan, come sit here," Asui Tsuyu beckoned to Uraraka Ochaco to sit next to her and whispered, "You did really well earlier, and everyone admires you for it."

"No, I still have a long way to go. I need to keep working hard," Uraraka Ochaco shook her head and looked towards the stage.

The contestants took their positions, and Present Mic held up his microphone to announce, "And now, in this final match to determine the fourth and final finalist, Midoriya Izuku will face off against Bakugo Katsuki! Both sides, get ready! THE MATCH... BEGINS!!!"

Looking at Midoriya Izuku opposite him, Bakugo Katsuki grinned and said, "Deku, I finally have a chance to blast you into the sky. Are you ready?"

"Kacchan... I won't give up!" With a serious expression, Midoriya Izuku took a deep breath and clenched his fists.

"Hmph, then come and try!" Bakugo Katsuki had experienced the destructive power of Midoriya Izuku's Quirk, but that didn't mean he was afraid. On the contrary, Bakugo Katsuki knew that the more powerful Midoriya Izuku's moves were, the more damage they would cause to himself.
