Chapter 62: A Flash of Silhouette

Bakugo quickly woke up. Looking at the ceiling of the infirmary, Bakugo's mood was surprisingly calm, and he didn't feel any fluctuations due to losing the match. However, soon his eyes regained their confident look.

"Hmph, just this once. I'll definitely win next time!"

With that, all of the events of the U.A. Sports Festival had ended, and the awards ceremony followed. The only highlight was the appearance of All Might as the presenter. However, as students of Class A, Renault and his classmates were already used to seeing All Might, so they didn't show any excitement like the audience.

In the classroom, Renault, who had changed out of his sportswear, looked lazily at his schoolmates who were admiring their medals.

Today's competition, especially the afternoon events, had drained him of some energy, but this was within his expectations. After all, deep down, Renault preferred the direct and confrontational type of competition. Being a turtle with no blind spots all day long using reflection wasn't particularly exciting.

After a while, Aizawa came into the classroom, and everyone immediately returned to their seats.

While eating, Renault noticed that the TV in the restaurant was broadcasting news about the U.A. Sports Festival. The scene of him and the others receiving their awards was shown on the TV.

For a moment, the other customers and the restaurant owner all looked toward Renault, who was eating his meal.

Finally, after the restaurant owner warmly invited Renault to take a photo with him; his dinner was free and he was given an additional fruit platter.

"Am I becoming famous?" Walking on the street at dusk, Renault muttered to himself with a hint of amusement.

But this was a very obvious thing.

After all, the U.A. Sports Festival was held on an unusually large scale, and it was broadcast live throughout Japan. This means that Renault's and Class A's performances today had been seen by everyone who watched the Sports Festival live, and their faces had been remembered by all of them.

"U.A. is really something. They dare to expose the students' Quirks to the whole country like this. I'm fine, at least I ride my motorcycle to school myself. But I guess it might be troublesome for Midoriya and the others when going to school..." Thinking about this, Renault couldn't help but laugh.

Slowly, Renault strolled along while heading back home.

When he passed by a street, Renault suddenly saw a figure flashing past the corner up ahead.

"That silhouette..."

That person... was Suzushina Yuriko?

Although it was just a flash, Renault had great confidence in his own abilities. He was absolutely certain of the silhouette he saw! But how could she appear here? It was a bit far from his home.

Meanwhile, Suzushina Yuriko remained at a distance from him, leading him through various streets and alleys. Despite this, Renault was completely certain that the person he was following was his younger sister, Suzushina Yuriko.

Finally, after five minutes of chasing, Yuriko entered a dead end. Standing at the entrance of the narrow path, Renault approached her and asked, "What are you doing here?"

"Do I surprise you by being here?" Yuriko turned around and flashed a smile at Renault.

"Hmm?" Renault instinctively sensed something was amiss when he saw Yuriko's smile. In the next moment, Renault's eyes narrowed, and he leaped into the air.

*Boom!*

The spot where Renault had been standing was engulfed in tranquil-blue flames.

"You noticed it, huh? That's unfortunate for you."

As Renault fell to the ground, he looked at the man who had launched the attack.

The man had black hair and was covered in burns, with skin grafts visible from his chest to the lower half of his face.

"League of Villains?" Renault asked.

"It's no surprise that someone who won the Sports Festival would be so skilled, but even these tactics can't solve you," the man replied in a low voice, showing no signs of failure.

As the man did not deny his identity, Renault turned around and looked at "Suzushina Yuriko" and said, "So, you must be an imposter, right?"

"Hehehe, are you so sure, Onii-chan?"

"Suzushina Yuriko" looked at Renault with a silly smile on her face and said, "Hey, Dabi, who do you think would win if you two fought? I like Renault better. He's handsome and powerful. Of course, if he were to bleed a little, he would be even more handsome."

As she spoke, "Suzushina Yuriko's" face began to show a liquid-like slime, and her appearance gradually disappeared, revealing a completely different half-face, with even her hair turning a light brown.

Was this some kind of Quirk that could disguise itself as other people?

Slowly clenching his fists, Renault said casually, "So, can you tell me the purpose of leading me here? To kill me? Sorry, I don't think you can do it."

"Of course not. Today we're just here to say hello and see what kind of person can stop Shigaraki Tomura's plan," replied Dabi, shaking his head. "We'll meet again soon. You're not enough for him to fight alone."

"Hai~ hai~" The woman who disguised herself as Yuriko gradually transformed back into her original appearance and jumped up to Renault, saying with a smile, "Goodbye, Onii-chan~"

Watching the two leave, Renault was filled with mystery.
