[MHCISQD] Chapter 73: Rescue

After suppressing the flying-type Nomu, Renault commented on the difference between this Nomu and the one at the U.S.J. Although its physical abilities remained strong, it no longer had the ability to absorb impact or regeneration.

"Weakened form? It seems that the previous Nomu was specifically created for All Might and was a very costly Nomu. This makes things much easier," Renault said.

As the Nomu struggled and attempted to flap its wings, Renault quickly grabbed hold of its wings and used Vector Manipulation to control the blood flow inside them.

*SPURT!*

The blood that sprayed out was reflected back with his Quirk, and Renault tore off the two wings that were still intact and threw them aside. He then continued to use his Quirk to break the Nomu's limbs and neck.

Renault didn't kill the Nomu, as the police would find it useful. By rendering it immobile, he had achieved his goal.

Standing up, Renault listened to the sound of police sirens throughout the city and frowned at the distant fires.

"The League of Villains has also joined in. Did they really team up with Stain? If that's the case, it's a bit troublesome. With Endeavor nearby, there's no need to worry too much, but I must find Iida's location. If he encounters Stain, he'll do something foolish. Plus, there's the unstable factor of League of Villains..."

He quickly sent a message to Iida, but it remained unread despite showing that he was online.

"He's clearly online, but why isn't he reading the message?"

Renault put away his phone, kicked Nomu who was still struggling, and manipulated the air to fly into the sky. He tried to look for more Nomu in the vicinity, as there were likely many of them, and he didn't want them to cause too much destruction.

Less than two minutes after Renault left, a police car finally arrived at the scene, with two visibly injured and dirty police officers rushing down.

Upon seeing Nomu on the ground, with all its limbs broken and its wings were torn off, both officers were stunned.

"Didn't some civilians say that a U.A. student was here? Where is he? And who took care of this monster?"

"It should be that student," said a slightly older officer. "I heard from the captain that this student's ability is likely already at the level of a Pro Hero. He's here for an internship program with Hawks, but I don't know why he would appear here."

"Should we contact U.A.?"

"Contacting them is necessary. Even U.A. students cannot use their Quirks indiscriminately during their internship period. However, for now, let's deal with the trouble here first before handling this matter."

Renault, who had moved to another street, repeated his previous method to take care of another Nomu. Then, his phone vibrated.

'A message in the class group chat from Midoriya?'

Looking at the location sent by Midoriya on his phone screen, Renault realized that something was wrong.

This place was in Hosu.

'Could it be that Midoriya is here too? Did Todoroki say anything? That's impossible. If he had informed me, he would have told me. If he didn't, it means that Midoriya's arrival was unexpected.'

At this point, Renault flew into the air and began searching for Midoriya's location from above. The mobile phone's location wasn't very detailed, so he had to search carefully. Midoriya must have run into trouble, otherwise, he wouldn't have been unable to send a message.

Meanwhile, in U.A.'s office, Aizawa was looking at the messages on his phone and feeling a bit impatient.

"It's Hosu again. How could Midoriya end up in Hosu?"

Aizawa had just found out about Nomu appearing in Hosu and Iida going there for his internship, so he had been paying attention to the situation. Now that Midoriya was also in Hosu and had sent a location; he knew something had gone wrong. He also knew his students' personalities well and was sure that something had happened.

"Damn it, I can't get there in time, and I don't even know where All Might is," Aizawa said as he went to the window and waited quietly.

Back in Hosu City, Renault had been searching for Midoriya's location in the air for two minutes but still hadn't found him. However, he saw a flying Nomu and knew that he couldn't let it continue to wreak havoc, even though the mission to rescue the public had already been accomplished.

With a sudden acceleration, Renault charged toward the Nomu.

The flying Nomu noticed Renault behind it and turned around in mid-air, opening its large mouth.

*AHHH!*

A strong sound wave emanated from its mouth, covering Renault.

"Too bad, that won't work," Renault said as he activated his reflection ability, reflecting all of the sound waves and shock waves that covered him. Although he couldn't hear anything for a while, it didn't have any effect on him.

At this moment, Renault saw a burst of fire and icy flashes appearing on the ground ahead.

"Found it."

Without much thought, Renault rushed forward and knocked out the Nomu with two punches, then pressed him and headed towards the target point below.

In the alley, Todoroki was blocking Stain, who was wielding a katana, in front of Midoriya and Iida.

"So strong!"

This was the only conclusion Todoroki could draw after facing the Hero Killer. His Quirk was powerful and combined with his physical abilities, it was not unreasonable for Hero Killer to attack so many Pro Heroes.

After Stain cut through an ice wall ahead, Todoroki immediately waved a flame blade to force him back. He couldn't think of a way to defeat his opponent in the short term and could only pray that other Pro Heroes would arrive soon.

"Hmm?"

Suddenly, when Todoroki tried to freeze Stain and limit his movements, he noticed something approaching quickly in the air.

'Nomu?'

No, that thing seemed to have no mobility. And when he vaguely saw the figure of a person on the back of the Nomu, Todoroki grinned.

'Has he arrived?'

"Hey kid, daydreaming is not a good habit!"

Taking advantage of the opening, Stain cleared the ice wall in front of him with one sword strike and was about to charge when he felt something aiming at him from above.

Instinctively, he stepped back.

*BOOM!!!*

"What happened?" Midoriya, who couldn't move behind them, looked at the smoke in front of him, feeling uncertain.

"It's okay, help has arrived," Todoroki said.

"I mean, you guys are having so much fun and didn't even invite me. That's not very nice, huh?"

"That is!!!"

The smoke cleared, and Renault appeared in front of everyone, stepping on a struggling Nomu and smiling.
