[MHCISQD] Chapter 82: A Rare Moment of Relaxation

Akihabara is a place that is likely to exist in any world.

However, in Renault's past world, there are some small differences from this world's Akihabara.

Due to the existence of Quirks and Pro Heroes, many of the shops in Akihabara sell popular Pro Hero merchandise. Among them, the most popular one is All Might. In one figurine shop, there are all kinds of All Might figurines filling the shelves, leaving people amazed.

After browsing the stores for a while, Renault looked for a fast food restaurant to grab a quick bite, then planned to kill some time by watching a movie. Just as his food arrived, Renault's phone rang again. This time, it wasn't Hawks calling, but a text message from Midoriya with a simple message and a link.

Upon opening the link, Renault's expression instantly turned serious.

"It seems like last night's news caused quite a stir, but once these analyses and comments start coming out, it's hard to control."

Before he could finish reading the message on the webpage, the link was blocked.

Renault searched for Hero Killer Stain on the search engine and found that Stain's past had been fully exposed.

"So he was a student who dropped out from U.A.? Because he discovered the corruption in the hero system; he advocated for heroes to return to their original purpose. And now, he has taken this path... This could be troublesome. It seems like chaos may begin again after the era All Might created."

In the past, All Might used his unbeatable strength to establish a relatively peaceful era and became the Symbol of Peace for people. But now, the appearance of the Hero Killer Stain, along with All For One and the League of Villains, has torn open a rift in this peaceful facade.

If Renault's expectations are correct, then those hidden entities lurking in the shadows will also want to come to the surface.

After having lunch, Renault stopped thinking about things he shouldn't be involved in and prepared to go to a nearby cinema. He randomly chose a comedy film and felt satisfied with it by the end.

The movie started at 2 PM, and by the time Renault finished watching it, it was already 4 PM. He didn't linger and headed to the station in Akihabara to go home.

While crossing Akihabara, Renault heard a familiar voice shouting when he passed by an arcade hall.

"Ooooh! Wooohhh! Wow!!!"

He stopped in his tracks, tilted his head, and couldn't resist walking into the arcade hall. Although it was a weekday, many students had already finished school, so there were quite a few people inside.

In front of one of the arcade machines, there was a crowd of people gathered.

Renault squeezed his way in and saw a girl in a junior high school uniform with short, shoulder-length brown hair madly shaking the joystick and pressing buttons, occasionally expressing amazement.

"Mikoto?"

"!"

*BANG!*

*GAME OVER!*

Thinking she heard a sound from behind her, Mikoto paused for a moment in her actions before being killed by the high-difficulty enemy. Without paying attention to the coin countdown for extra lives, she turned around and saw Renault in the crowd, and her face turned red all of a sudden.

"Se- Senpai?!"

With a *squeak!*, Mikoto stood up and immediately took Renault's hand. The two of them pushed through the crowd and left the arcade hall. After running for a while, she finally stopped to catch her breath.

Renault looked at the girl in confusion and asked.

"Why did you run away?"

"Uh... hehehe, I was just a little excited and ran out. Ah! Wait! I finally made it to the final level!" Mikoto said, looking crazed.

Seeing her frantic appearance, Renault knew that he had affected her with his earlier outburst, so he said.

"Well, do you want to go back and play some more?"

"Can we? Also, Senpai, don't you have an internship today?"

"I didn't need to go today. I just watched a movie nearby and decided to come in and see you when I heard your voice."

"Watched a movie? Alone?"

"With who else? Everyone else is still having internships activity in their respective hero offices."

"Oh! Let's go play some more then! My mom always tells me to go home right after school, so I never have time to come out and play!" Mikoto said excitedly, ready to pull Renault back into the arcade hall.

"Are you free for the rest of the day?"

"She's out doing something and won't be back until midnight. Otherwise, unless it's a weekend, you wouldn't be able to find me here," Mikoto replied.

Right, it was just after school, and Mikoto had rushed over here in a hurry.

Renault thought for a moment and said, "Then, how about we go out for dinner together before we go back?"

"Huh? Ca- Can we?"

Mikoto hesitated for a moment, then nodded her head with her head down. Since she was walking ahead, Renault didn't notice that her face had turned red.

The two of them were having dinner outside...

'Could this be... a date?' Mikoto felt like her life had reached its peak at this moment.

"Ahh, arcade. It's been a long time since I've played here," Renault said with a sigh as he looked at the devices in the arcade hall.

The last time he came here to play, he was probably still in middle school. Every once in a while, he would come and play with a few schoolmates after school. But when he was preparing for the U.A. entrance exam and after he entered U.A., Renault stopped coming to these places. Today was the first time he came out to relax like this since senior high.

After hearing Renault's words, Mikoto's expression returned to normal, and she smiled and said, "Then let me show you around, Senpai!"

"I'll follow your lead."

After that, the two of them spent over an hour in the arcade hall before finally leaving at around 5 PM.

Since Mikoto was with him, Renault didn't just pick any restaurant for dinner. He hailed a taxi and took her to a restaurant he frequented to have a proper meal. They only returned home after enjoying their dinner and walking under the night sky.

"Goodnight, Senpai."

After saying goodbye to Renault, Mikoto went back to her own home.

When she changed into her slippers and walked into the living room, she couldn't hold back her excitement any longer. She jumped onto the sofa, grabbed a cushion, and started flipping it around while laughing.
