[MHCISQD] Chapter 86: Training Race
Added 2023-03-25 21:41:49 +0000 UTCAs Aizawa stepped onto the podium, he glanced at the entire class of students before his gaze settled on Renault, Todoroki, Iida, and Midoriya.
"The internship has now ended, each of you has received an evaluation from your respective hero offices, and from what I have seen, your performances were all quite good, with many receiving high praise. However, this was just a normal internship, and it is not something for you to be proud of. There are still countless things you need to learn, so you must not slack off during the time before the end-of-term exams. Do you understand?"
"Yes, we understand!" The class replied.
"Okay, now let's begin the morning meeting. I will give you a brief overview of this week's schedule."
With his serious expression fading away, Aizawa began to speak in a more relaxed tone as he outlined the schedule for the week.
Renault glanced at their homeroom teacher and then spoke in a lower voice to Todoroki beside him. "No one asked about it before, but someone will definitely ask about Stain after the class meeting. Don't give anything away."
"I understand," Todoroki nodded.
Aizawa saw the interaction between the two, but he did not say anything and continued with his presentation.
After the morning meeting ended, everyone gathered around Todoroki, Midoriya, and Iida to discuss the Hero Killer Stain incident.
"I was really worried. He's the Hero Killer, and just watching the videos gave me chills. It's really good that you all made it back safely," one of the students said.
"Yeah, especially since so many Pro Heroes couldn't stop him," another student added.
"I heard that Endeavor saved you. He's really amazing," someone else said.
Todoroki thought about the suspicious grin of the Hosu City Police Station Chief and nodded.
"Yes, he did save us."
Midoriya looked at Todoroki and added, "Yes, we were saved."
During that time, Midoriya secretly glanced at Renault. At the same time, he also marveled at Renault's luck in becoming a transparent person. Throughout the event, he was never seen, and he didn't have to deal with his schoolmates' inquiries.
"I'm really not good at this kind of thing..."
"I've read a lot of news." At this moment, Ojiro said on the side, "It seems that the Hero Killer has colluded with the League of Villains, right? I never thought that there would be such a person in the League of Villains. It's getting more and more dangerous."
"Yes, that's right..."
The discussion about Stain didn't last too long.
When Renault saw that the discussion was starting to gain momentum, he took the initiative to change the topic. Such a person like Stain was not worthy of discussion and could only distract people.
The morning classes ended with some people finding them easy and others finding them challenging. Finally, it was time for the foundational hero studies that everyone had been looking forward to.
Without wearing a cape, All Might, dressed in a tight-fitting hero costume, stood in front of Class A's students and said, "Next is today's foundational hero studies. Long time no see, youngster, are you all doing well? Alright, since you have just finished your internship, we will have rescue training with a game element."
Having recovered his mental state, Iida was the first to raise his hand and said, "If it's rescue training, shouldn't it be conducted at the U.S.J.?"
"That place is specially designed for disaster rescue training. What did I just say? That's right, it's a game!" All Might smiled and said, "This is Ground Gamma, a densely packed industrial area with complex structures, like a maze. You will be divided into four groups of five people each, and you will take turns participating in the training. When I send out a signal for help from somewhere, you will all start from outside the factory area at the same time and see who can rescue me first, in other words; it's a race. Of course, you must control the damage to the buildings to a minimum!"
When he said the last sentence, occasionally, Kaminari stretched out his finger and pointed to Bakugo.
"Don't point at me!"
"Hahaha! Then let's start with the first group. The first group consists of Renault, Todoroki Shoto, Iida Tenya, Midoriya Izuku, and Ojiro Mashirao."
"What?! Such an explosive combination from the beginning?"
"But why isn't Bakugo in it? Ojiro, you're a little unfortunate."
Ojiro looked at Kaminari, who was teasing him beside him, and said with a wry smile, "Don't say that. Besides, I might not be the last one. I have also been seriously training!"
Bakugo looked at the list of five people, and after finding that his name was not on the list, he was a bit unhappy and pouted, but he didn't act out.
Soon, the five people arrived at their respective starting points, while the others who were not selected stood in front of a large screen divided into five sections, each playing the video of one of the five people.
"Let's make a bet on who will come first! I bet on Renault!" Kirishima exclaimed excitedly.
Uraraka said, "Although I also think Renault-kun won't lose, whether it's Iida-kun's Quirk or Todoroki-kun's speed on the ice, they won't be slow either."
"That's true." Yaoyorozu, sitting on the ground, analyzed. "What we know about them is still from the sports festival. Outdated data can't be used as a basis."
For a moment, everyone started discussing.
Standing at the finish line, All Might spoke into the microphone, "Are you all ready? Yosh, let's begin!"
He pressed the button in his hand, and the bell indicating the start of the race sounded across the field.
In an instant, all five people dashed toward the finish line.
Renault's movement was simple and straightforward, manipulating the air around him and flying towards the finish line.
Iida's injuries had already healed, and his leg engines erupted, accelerating instantly and keeping up with Renault.
Todoroki laid out an ice path and swiftly slid on it.
As this was an industrial area, with many pipes and pillars, Ojiro made full use of his Quirk, using his tail to grab onto the surrounding pipes and quickly swing forward on the building.
As for the last person, Midoriya, his actions exceeded everyone's expectations.
"Is that... Midoriya?!!"
On the screen, Midoriya's skin sparkled with green lightning as he moved quickly and agilely between walls and pipes, not any slower than the others.
"I can do this!"
Racing forward at high speed, Midoriya's face lit up with an excited smile.
The arduous training of the internship had finally paid off and could now be demonstrated in front of everyone.
