[MHCISQD] Chapter 99: Tutoring Again

The scene cuts to five minutes later, where Renault and Mikoto are seated on opposite sides of a table in Renault's living room. Yuriko had left upon seeing Renault and had ignored his invitation to come inside.

Rubbing his still sleepy eyes, Renault looked at Mikoto, who was sitting opposite him, a little shyly with her head down, and asked, "What are you doing at this time?"

The next second, Renault seemed to hear a *POOF* sound effect, and Mikoto's face turned red. "Uh... um... that... that... I... um..."

"Hey..." Shaking his head, Renault got up and poured a glass of water for Mikoto, saying, "Take a sip of water and calm down first."

Since Mikoto had bumped into Yuriko, Renault had no intention of hiding their relationship. However, he still wanted to keep her identity as a member of the League of Villains hidden. The fewer people who knew, the better.

Although everyone in the class and several teachers at U.A. knew about it, Mikoto couldn't believe what she was hearing.

"Younger sister? Twin younger sister? Eeeeehhh!!!" she exclaimed in disbelief. "But Senpai, didn't you say that you..."

"Ah, that's right. I am indeed an orphan, and I only found out about having a younger sister not long ago," Renault said with a hint of helplessness as he leaned back in his chair. "However, for some reason, even though she knows about our relationship, she doesn't plan on coming to my side."

"Is that so? I thought..." Mikoto trailed off, her voice growing quieter as she rubbed her slippered feet on the ground under the table. "I thought she was a clone or something like that from a movie, a villain. And with her looking like she was about to fight, I thought..."

Renault couldn't help but laugh and shake his head at Misaka Mikoto's embarrassed expression. "What are you imagining? Stop watching those sci-fi movies!"

Watching Mikoto's sheepish demeanor, Renault couldn't help but feel a bit amused. After all, in "A Certain Magical Index", it was she who was cloned.

However, Mikoto's words also served as a warning bell for Renault. After all, his own background wasn't that simple, and he couldn't guarantee that one day in the future, there wouldn't be a villain with access to cloning technology. After Mikoto left, Renault turned off the lights in the living room and went back to his own bedroom. However, with all the commotion caused by her and Yuriko, Renault was wide awake. He looked at the time and it was already 1 AM.

Lying in bed, Renault looked at the ceiling and said, "Why don't I try to count sheep? One sheep... two sheep... three sheep..."

"How many have I counted? It's useless. Forget it, I'll just try to sleep." Renault finished speaking, covered himself with a blanket, and forced himself to close his eyes.

The next day, at 7:30 AM, Renault slapped the alarm clock on his bedside table and smashed it against the wall, causing it to smash into pieces. Then he slowly got out of bed.

"Ahh, I have to go to Yaoyorozu's home today to continue tutoring them. I need to get up." As he spoke, Renault yawned.

He didn't know when he had fallen asleep last night, but he definitely didn't sleep for very long. After getting up, changing clothes, brushing his teeth and washing his face, and making breakfast, it was already 8:30.

After finishing the last sip of coffee, Renault washed the cup and walked out the door with his bag.

Finally, they arrived at Yaoyorozu's home at almost the same time as they did on Saturday, along with the others.
