The rebel forces did not catch up, but Rita was in an extremely bad mood. She had just witnessed her master's truck rush down the rift valley.

Tricell Pharmaceutical's convoy was parked near the rift.

Lilith and Rita ran in panic to the edge of the cliff. By now, the sky was getting dark, and it was pitch black under the cliff. Even Lilith's extraordinary vision could only vaguely see flickering flames below.

Leon quickly followed them, frowning as he looked at the billowing smoke below. He muttered, "Damn it."

Irving held his white coat pocket and walked to the edge of the rift valley, shaking his butt and looking down. He sneered, "There's no hope, they're dead for sure."

Lilith nodded silently. Rita saw a hint of fear in her eyes.

"I'm going too!" Leon said sternly.

"I advise you not to waste your energy. At this height, any ordinary person would have died long ago," Irving said, waving his hand. "Even if they haven't fallen to their death, they won't come up alive."

"What do you mean?" Rita turned her head and asked sharply.

"Just what I said," Irving shrugged. "Oh well, let's just go home. Although the process didn't go as planned, the outcome isn't bad. I have to go back to write a report and have some pizza..."

He turned around to leave, but Lilith suddenly grabbed his collar and, ignoring his screams, dragged him to the edge of the cliff with one hand, suspending him outside the cliff.

"Oh, my god!" Seeing the dark rift valley beneath his feet, Irving almost wet himself. He screamed, "Please! Don't let go! Stay calm! Don't let go!"

Standing next to Lilith, Rita exuded a chilly killing intent and asked coldly, "Why can't they come up once they fall down?"

"How can they come up and survive from this height? Are you crazy?" Irving cursed. But then, Lilith suddenly released her grip.

"Ahhhhhh!" Irving screamed as he fell, but the next second, a hand firmly grabbed his collar. Feeling the sensation of bungee jumping without a rope off a cliff, he raised his head in a cold sweat, seeing a silver-haired girl holding his collar. Suddenly, he went hysterical and shouted, "Are you demons?! Why are you doing this?!"

"Tell me before I lose my patience, why can't they come up once they fall down," Rita said coldly. Her icy gaze was like looking at something irretrievably worthless.

"This... this is the Cannibal Valley. According to local legend, there is a monster living below that likes to eat people, so even if they don't die from the fall, they will be eaten by that monster! Do you ever think why the rebel forces didn't follow us? They believe this legend and are afraid!" Irving replied breathlessly, "Miss, please pull me up quickly!"

"He's lying," Lilith said expressionlessly.

"Forget it, let's just drop him," Rita said impatiently, waving her hand.

"No, no, no, please don't!" Irving screamed like a pig being slaughtered at the thought of being thrown down, "I'll tell you the truth! I'll tell you the truth! I swear!"

"Then speak quickly," Rita said, frowning.

Irving took a deep breath, gritted his teeth as if struggling with something in his mind, and after a long while, he spoke, "Damn it! Don't tell anyone I told you this! It's an abandoned research facility down there!"

"A research facility? Tricell Pharmaceutical's?" Leon asked, frowning. He sensed that things were not simple.

"No, no, no! Not ours! It's our partner's!" Irving shouted, "Because of the local legend, no one will visit the rift valley, so last year, those guys set up a research facility in the rift valley. But there was an accident during the research, and they couldn't handle it, so they all evacuated!"

"Who are they? What were they researching down there? What's down there?" Leon asked.

"How should I know? It's all the bigwigs' responsibility! I only heard about it! Anyway, if you go down there, you'll die!" Irving howled, "Quickly! Pull me up! I can't hold on any longer!"

Rita turned to look at Lilith, and Lilith said softly, "It's the truth."

The next moment, with Rita nodding, Lilith suddenly exerted force and threw Irving up. He flew more than three meters high and then fell face down on the ground.

At this moment, Rita looked at the unfathomable valley with a worried expression. In this situation where the depth was unknown, she couldn't just jump down with Lilith. There was also nothing on the steep cliffs of the rift valley for them to climb down on, and even if there were her tentacles, they couldn't directly climb down.

Leon, who was standing beside them, glanced at Irving, who was lying on the ground half-dead. He stepped back, opened his communicator, and not long after, Hunnigan's face appeared on the screen.

"Let me see..." Hunnigan turned to her computer and tinkered with it for a moment. Soon after, her face showed a hint of surprise. "Cannibal Valley? What are you doing there?"

"Just now, I obtained key intelligence from Tricell's people. There seems to be an abandoned research facility belonging to an unknown organization below the rift valley," Leon replied, "I need to enter the bottom of the rift, and maybe I can find the crucial evidence of Malvia's rebellion involving biochemical weapons down there."

"Okay, I've sent it to you. Remember to report your situation at all times," Hunnigan said.

"No problem, thank you." Leon hung up the communication and looked at the map Hunnigan had sent him. He turned his head to Lilith and Rita, shaking his phone, and said, "Hey! I have the route to the rift valley below!"

Hearing that there was a route map, Rita immediately approached and looked at Leon's phone. Then she nodded at Lilith, who understood and kicked Irving, who was pretending to be dead, to stand up.

"Go drive," Lilith said coldly, expressionless.
