[WDIDWAMGB] Chapter 110: Big Gift

Where is Li Yexing? That's a good question.

At this moment, Li Yexing and Kanan are being cornered by a group of Government Forces infected with parasites in an experimental building belonging to Black Umbrella.

"These guys came from where?"

Li Yexing popped his head out and fired a few shots to knock down the parasite-infected soldiers who were trying to come up, then quickly retreated when the infected soldiers on the other side fired back.

His face was serious and displeased.

"Where did those guys come from?" Kanan, who was following behind him, looked serious.

"Upstairs? Isn't that the landing pad?" Li Yexing frowned and said, "Are these guys... sent specifically by Tricell to deal with us?"

"Why? Wasn't it enough for us to break into their partner's research facility?" Kanan asked.

"Fuck this shit, who knows what these parasite-infected people are thinking in their heads..." Li Yexing cursed, then turned to Kanan and asked, "I remember you said you could eliminate the hostile reaction of other parasite-infected people. What are you hiding behind me for? Use your abilities and charge up there and take them all out!"

"If I could do it, I would have done it already! Do I still need to be chased by that big lizard?" Kanan said angrily. "I told you, that thing in me is almost in a dormant state now, and I can't use its abilities."

"What the hell! Why is your parasite so weak?" Li Yexing couldn't help but mock.

"Do you know how much energy I have to expend to use this power once?" Kanan looked displeased, then suddenly patted Li Yexing's shoulder and said, "Don't just talk, they're coming!"

Li Yexing frowned and peeked out again, seeing several more Government Forces trying to come up. He aimed at their chests and fired continuously until they were all taken down.

Li Yexing casually changed the magazine and turned to Kanan, saying, "We can't be stuck here. You come with me!"

"What? Are you crazy? Can't you see how many of them there are?" Kanan was horrified.

"I can see, but it doesn't matter," Li Yexing tightened his nerves and said slowly, "I've been through this many times before."

Hearing the voices from the other side, Li Yexing lifted his gun and shouted, "Let's go!"

Instantly, Li Yexing charged out from behind the corner, holding his gun, shooting continuously at the parasitic infected that were blocking their way.

The Government Forces tried to fire at Li Yexing, but he was always faster in sending bullets into their bodies. The view in the holographic sight shook wildly, following his movements, swaying back and forth between one infected and another, shooting one and immediately turning to another, repeating this cycle until all the infected were lying on the ground.

If possible, Li Yexing wouldn't want to use the "spray and pray" technique, but he had no choice. He couldn't shoot the heads of these infected like he could with regular humans, as it could cause the parasite's body to emerge.

However, shooting at their chests would not necessarily kill them with one shot, so Li Yexing could only choose the dumbest and most vulnerable method - stop one infected from firing and then immediately turn to another, repeating this cycle until all the infected were down.

After eliminating a small wave of Government Forces in front of them, Li Yexing waved his hand and said, "Clear the threat! Follow me now!"

Kanan, behind the cover, witnessed Li Yexing's tactics all the way through. She looked at him in surprise and praised him, "You're really strong, no wonder you're the most expensive mercenary in Edonia."

"Less talk," Li Yexing frowned and said, "Let's rush out, we're running out of time!"

"I don't need you to tell me that," Kanan smiled and raised her two MP7s, "I have to admit, you're unexpectedly reliable."

Next, the two quickly broke through the third-floor corridor.

With Kanan by his side, Li Yexing felt like he had wallhacks in an FPS game. She could accurately remind him where the hidden enemies were, greatly increasing their speed of advancement. In no time, the two found the emergency staircase that led to the top floor.

The two stopped on either side of the emergency staircase door.

Li Yexing quickly peeked out and dealt with the enemies on the stairs, then waved to Kanan and said, "Rush! GO GO GO!"

Then, the two of them raised their guns, one on the left and one on the right, and charged up the stairs at lightning speed.

Li Yexing held his gun vertically with the barrel pointed upwards, killing and repelling the Government Forces who tried to attack them one after another from above the stairs. Kanan was responsible for protecting him and killed all the Government Forces who rushed out from other floors.

They slammed the heavy iron door on the fourth floor, crushing the head of a black uncle who was aiming a probe, and Kanan violently pointed her gun at his chest and fired wildly, causing blood to splatter everywhere. Then she turned her head and asked, "How many more?!"

"Keep going! We're almost there!" Li Yexing shouted, as he pulled the trigger and blew up the head of another black uncle.

A large cluster of tentacles and flesh struggled to squeeze out of the headless black uncle's neck wound. Before the parasite could completely emerge from his neck, Li Yexing grabbed his body and threw him directly from the emergency stairs with his neck facing downwards.

There was a muffled sound from below, but Li Yexing didn't even bother to look at what the guy looked like after the fall, and he continued to charge up with Kanan.

Fourth floor... fifth floor... As they climbed higher, the resistance from the Government Forces became smaller and smaller until they reached the sixth floor, where there were no more Government Forces in sight.

"Well done!" Li Yexing shouted loudly. "This is the last floor, and the helicopter pad is just ahead!"

"Finally..." Kanan breathed a sigh of relief and nodded. "If we keep going like this, I'm going to go insane..."

With Kanan and Li Yexing charging up the stairs, they kicked open the door and were immediately met with a wide scene.

It was a very large runway, but the moment Li Yexing stepped onto the runway, his expression turned grim.

"Why did you stop?" Kanan asked from behind Li Yexing. "Is there no plane?"

"Yeah, there's no plane," Li Yexing replied, holding his gun with a furrowed brow. "But they did prepare a big gift for us."

This was the runway at the very top of the building, the closest to the dome-shaped mine pit in the entire hollow.

Raindrops hit Li Yexing's head and face as he looked at the two figures standing in the middle of the runway. He shouted, "So, you two have been waiting here in the rain for so long? That must have been hard."

In the center of the runway stood a man wearing a black coat, standing silently in the rain. Beside him was a muscular black man as sturdy as a small mountain, the leader of the Government Forces - Capone.

As for the man in the black coat, wearing sunglasses and sporting a large golden hairstyle, Li Yexing, a die-hard fan of the Resident Evil series, could not fail to recognize him.
