[WDIDWAMGB] Chapter 112: Dumbfounded Wesker
Added 2023-04-23 19:57:04 +0000 UTC"What's going on with that guy?" Kanan, who had fallen in a mess, struggled to stand up, and her blurry vision gradually focused on Wesker, who was walking towards Li Yexing.
"He can dodge bullets... do you think this is a movie?" She muttered to herself, took out the handgun at her waist, and aimed it at Wesker in the distance. Although Li Yexing was very powerful, he couldn't win against a monster that could even dodge bullets.
She couldn't let him get close to Li Yexing!
Just as she was about to pull the trigger, a fist the size of a cooking pot suddenly hammered her on the back of her head, causing Kanan, who couldn't stand firm, to be thrown out again.
"Please do not disturb the battle between the god messengers and the blessed ones..." Rubbing his wrist, the tall black commander looked at Wesker and Li Yexing, and a hint of longing flashed in his muddy eyes: "This is a battle that is worthy of being recorded in the holy scriptures, and as the most loyal follower of the Great God Halabaka, I will witness all of this with my own eyes. Now, how can I let a Forsaken defile this holy war?"
After saying that, Capone clasped his hands together, with a devout expression on his face, and said, "I think this is the trial that the Great God Halabaka has given me."
"I don't know if this is the so-called trial of the bullshit god you're talking about..." Kanan, who was lying on the ground, whispered softly. She struggled to climb up with her dizzy head hanging down, twisted her neck, made a crisp sound, and then turned her head to look at Capone, "But there is one thing I'm sure of, and that is... you've successfully pissed me off!"
"Such disrespectful language, you are indeed just a Forsaken..." Seeing Kanan standing up again, Capone shook his head, his expression appeared extremely solemn, his muddy eyes staring at the staggering Kanan. Then, he gently raised his right hand towards the sky and said, "No need to be stubborn, in just a moment, I will let you experience the glory of Halabaka. Now, tremble in fear and surrender under the majesty of the god!"
With his words, the sky suddenly flashed with bursts of lightning, and the thunder rolled in the clouds like divine power responding to his followers.
Along with the thunder, Capone began to groan in pain. His right arm, which he had held up high, was undergoing a transformation. Tiny tentacles pierced his skin and coiled around his arm, with red and yellow mucus mixed together and splattered all around. Then the right arm started to swell frantically, with crimson muscles spraying blood and bursting through the skin. Huge and heavy bone spurs tore through the deformed muscles, and yellow meridians-like roots climbed up the mutated right arm, sealing the wounds on the arm where blood was still flowing.
"HAAAHHH!"
With a vigorous roar, Capone stretched out his left hand and tore off his tattered shirt, revealing a body that was shining with black oil and mixed with muscles and fat. His right arm had now turned into a flesh-and-blood axe, with a blade that flashed with a strange metallic luster. The mutation on his arm extended all the way to the right half of his chest, where Kanan could see the yellow meridians crawling on his blood-red, skinless chest.
"See it! This is the power bestowed upon me by the Great God Halabaka!" In the pouring rain, the mutated Capone shouted excitedly.
"I see it... it's really disgusting..." Kanan sneered.
"Keep talking, you damn forsaken!" Capone shouted loudly, raising his mutated right arm and rushing towards Kanan. He yelled, "DIE!"
His right arm, like a giant axe, suddenly fell towards Kanan, and a sly smile appeared on Capone's fierce face. He seemed to have seen Kanan being cut in half. But the next moment, he heard the sound of metal clashing with metal.
His powerful blow had actually been blocked, and the one who blocked it was none other than Kanan's right arm!
On Kanan's right arm, a small bone spur suddenly protruded, blocking his lethal strike.
"Well... just in time..."
In Capone's shocked gaze, the tattoo on Kanan's right arm suddenly started to wriggle like snakes, entwining and crawling up the right side of Kanan's face.
Then, accompanied by a spray of red blood and yellowish fluid, the bone spur that had blocked Capone's attack suddenly shot out from under Kanan's skin and transformed into a slender blade.
Kanan swiftly sidestepped Capone's huge axe and used her transformed right arm to deliver a fierce slash.
Caught off guard, Capone was struck directly and stumbled back two steps, blood mixed with yellowish fluid spurting from the narrow wound on his chest.
"Now, we are evenly matched." Kanan sneered as he looked at Capone's astonished expression.
On the other side of the tarmac, Li Yexing was almost single-handedly taking a beating.
Wesker delivered a heavy punch to his left cheek, causing him to instinctively raise his left arm to defend himself. The impact felt like being hit by a car, and Li Yexing was pushed back two steps to the right.
Li Yexing tried to seize the opportunity to counterattack, taking advantage of Wesker's vulnerability by suddenly exerting force with his waist and legs, and delivering an uppercut to the space between Wesker's lungs.
But Wesker transformed into a black shadow, dragging his afterimage to Li Yexing's side, and struck his elbow and knee joints hard like hydraulic pliers on Li Yexing's right arm that was not retracted in time.
Li Yexing groaned in pain and turned and retreated, trying to create some distance, but Wesker persisted and stepped forward; his hand clad in black leather gloves struck Li Yexing's chest again.
Li Yexing could not dodge it and was sent flying, crashing heavily to the ground and rolling over.
Struggling to stand up once again, Li Yexing felt a bit short of breath. After that palm strike just now, he felt like all the air in his lungs had been instantly squeezed out. Shaking his sore right arm, he looked up at Wesker and noticed that the man was also shaking his hand.
"Hmph..." Wesker snorted, feeling a bit awkward as he noticed Li Yexing staring at him with an odd look. "Although you are weak and pathetic, your bones are surprisingly hard."
To be honest, Wesker was a bit surprised, even skeptical. When he first pushed Li Yexing with his palm, he had already imagined what it would be like for Li Yexing's chest to shatter and be unable to get up again. But he never expected this guy to actually get up.
So in the following fight, Wesker did his best to inflict damage on Li Yexing, but he never managed to break the guy's arm or any bones, even with attacks that could easily shatter the bones of an ordinary human. Especially with that last strike, he had put all his strength into it, but not only did he fail to break Li Yexing's arm, but he also ended up numbing his own elbow.
Although he still had a cold and disdainful look on his face, the truth was that Wesker was dumbfounded.
What kind of creature is this mercenary...
