[WDIDWAMGB] Chapter 123: Anger, Fear, and Humiliation

In the pristine white hallway, chaos erupted.

Accompanied by clamorous sounds, a group of people in white coats dragged a stretcher and burst through the doors of the corridor.

"Move aside, move aside!" The man leading the group, wearing glasses, shouted and waved his hands to disperse the crowd. He looked stern as if racing against time.

On the stretcher lay a golden-haired girl dressed in black combat clothing, her body covered in bloodstains. She tightly shut her right eye, while her left eye was cut open with blood oozing out. The girl wore a respirator on her face and was attached to an IV drip. People helping to carry the stretcher had various medical equipment hanging from their hands.

"Doctor, the heart rate is increasing. The parasite may be becoming active again!" A woman closely monitoring the instruments called out from behind.

"Then inject another dose of inhibitor fluid!" The middle-aged man with glasses leading the group replied.

"We can't keep injecting the fluid!" The woman said, "We've already injected too much inhibitor fluid today. If we continue like this, the parasites inside T-Lillian's body may become inactive!"

"Then let it become inactive!" The man with glasses roared, "It's just a test subject. If it dies, we can just make another one!"

The woman's face showed a hint of hesitation and struggle. She said, "If T-Lillian dies, Casimir in charge may..."

"No problem! If it dies, then let it die! I'll take responsibility!" The man with glasses shouted, "What are you waiting for? Do you want to kill all of us?!"

Gritting her teeth, the woman quickly took out a small syringe from her waist pack and injected it into T-Lillian's arm. A few seconds later, T-Lillian's breathing slowed down, and her heart rate gradually decreased.

"While it's not dead yet, quickly take it back!" The man leading the group shouted to the people carrying the stretcher, "Even if it dies, it must die on the laboratory table! We need to have firsthand data!"

With that, the man's face showed a hint of impatience. He rudely dispersed the people in front of him and yelled, "Move aside, move aside!"

In the spacious yet dimly lit office, Casimir sipped coffee and scrolled through his tablet.

A knock on the door interrupted him.

"Come in," Casimir said. The door slowly opened, and his black stocking-clad female secretary walked in. She stood by his desk in her high heels and spoke softly, "Boss, the team that went out and T-Lillian have returned. T-Lillian is severely injured, and the Undertaker Unit.. .have been completely wiped out."

"Oh, I see." Casimir casually placed his tablet on the desk and stood up, stretching lazily. "Anything else?"

"No, boss," the secretary replied with a slight bow.

Casimir pinched her buttocks and said, "Then you may go."

"Okay, boss," the secretary responded before turning and leaving.

Casimir appeared somewhat absent-minded as he paced around the office, seemingly lost in thought. Soon, a sudden inspiration struck him, and he raised his head abruptly.

"No way..." he muttered to himself.

As if to confirm his suspicion, he hurried back to his desk, grabbed his tablet, and found the T-Lillian battle video recorded by the observation team in South Africa. When he found the maid in the video, he immediately zoomed in and slowed it down.

Staring intently at every move the maid made, Casimir's expression gradually changed from hesitation to shock.

"It's Freeman's Night Goddess..." he murmured softly. Countless thoughts raced through his mind, ultimately leading him to an absurd conclusion. However, in just a moment, he used his rationality as a researcher to reject his crazy hypothesis.

"If such an existence really exists in this world, what are we working so hard to study for?" Casimir murmured to himself as if trying to convince himself.

"That blonde woman probably didn't tell me the truth either. Li Yexing, the mercenary... I should pay a little more attention to him."

===

In the Cannibal Valley, Malvia, South Africa.

A somewhat disheveled figure emerged from the mountain cave.

He was bare-chested and had burns on his face and body. He looked up at the sky, and the rising sun was shining on this land filled with fools.

Wesker breathed in the fresh air after the rain, which effectively relieved his fatigue.

"Alexandra..." He muttered a certain person's name with malice in his mouth. Wesker's eyes were full of hatred, thinking back to the battle on the tarmac. Anger, fear, and humiliation instantly filled his heart.

That perfect face, that supreme power, except for the eyes, there seemed to be no signs of mutation. Alexandra's presence was like slapping Wesker in the face, and then grabbing his collar and loudly saying, "Did you see it? This is what a perfect human looks like!"

Wesker was planning a shocking conspiracy. He obtained the Uroboros virus developed by his own sister, Alex Wesker. The virus had the power to completely overturn human genes, and only those with excellent DNA could control it. And he undoubtedly had the best DNA. Once the plan was successful, he would rise up and become a god in the new world.

However, Alexandra's existence gave him a big slap in the face; she seemed more suitable to become the god of the new world than him. This was something Wesker couldn't accept.

In addition, what puzzled Wesker the most was why that woman was still alive.

When he worked for H.C.F., he single-handedly destroyed the entire Rockford Island and buried the Ashford Family. But he never thought that Alexander had prepared a third clone!

He couldn't fathom Alexander's intentions, but the fact was that Alexandra had the same intelligence as her sister, Alexia, and secretly controlled a special department within Umbrella.

After the Raccoon City incident in 1998, this department quickly broke free from Umbrella's control and renamed itself Black Umbrella. They self-proclaimed as seekers of the truth and pursued the evolution of humanity. The leader of the organization, Alexandra Ashford, chose to follow in her sister's footsteps and froze herself for fifteen years, waiting for her day to come and lead all of humanity to a new level.

However, wherever there are people, there will be conflicts. Perhaps Alexandra is a true seeker, but it's obvious that her subordinates are not.

In 2003, while Alexandra was still in cryogenic stasis, her subordinates launched a coup to seize power. Many organizations participated in this action, including H.C.F., the Federation, and even Tricell, all hoping to profit from Umbrella's remains.

To save the last surviving member of the Ashford Family, the family's butler had to open the cryogenic chamber and retrieve Alexandra, who had not yet met the requirements for release. With the help of a group of mercenaries, they successfully evaded the first round of pursuit by various organizations, which lasted two weeks. The upper echelon of these organizations believed that Alexandra would inevitably undergo a malignant mutation after leaving the cryogenic chamber, so there was no need to continue the chase.

That woman was as good as dead.

Therefore, the various organizations gave up the chase and laid low. After all, killing that woman was never the goal. Their goal was to carve up the remains of the Black Umbrella.

However, the subsequent development was beyond everyone's expectations.

The new leader of Black Umbrella was even more ruthless and difficult to deal with than they had imagined. After failing to gain any advantage in multiple attempts, the various organizations had to admit that they had been played, used as pawns from beginning to end and had received little benefit.

Meanwhile, with the technology accumulated during Alexandra's management period, Black Umbrella rapidly developed into a huge underground organization with global influence.

It's no wonder Wesker was afraid.

A woman who should have turned into a lump of green goo and died in some desolate wilderness actually appeared alive and strong as a ghost. He couldn't make sense of what had happened.

Leaning against the cold rock wall, Wesker's face suddenly showed a sinister smile. If the current leader of Black Umbrella knew that the woman was still alive, he didn't know what expression would appear on his face...
