"Chishima Hitomi?" Li Yexing was slightly taken aback. This was a bit unexpected for him.

"Sending the daughter when the father doesn't work, huh?" Li Yexing leaned against the door frame, furrowing his brow. "I've already said we don't take on jobs during vacations. Why are you all so persistent?"

Seeing that his expression wasn't favorable, the girl anxiously bowed and spoke loudly in Japanese. Rita stood beside her and translated in a low voice, "Miss Chishima believes that you are a good person. Currently, the Chishima Group is being threatened by Kokuryukai. Miss Chishima hopes that we can accept the request and provide assistance."

Having said that, he regained his focus and picked up the PSP from the small round table, saying to Lilith, "Continue."

Outside the room's door, Rita lowered her head and observed the drenched black-haired girl kneeling silently on the ground. In the end, she could only shake her head.

Bending down, Rita whispered to the girl in Japanese, "Go back early."

Then she closed the room door, instantly cutting off the room's light, leaving Hitomi kneeling on the cold, dark corridor.

Inside the room, Kanan frowned and said, "Are we really leaving her outside like that?"

"Let's ignore her," Li Yexing replied, playing a game. "She'll leave on her own in a while."

"I hope so..." Kanan pressed against his back, staring at the game console screen, and whispered, "Are these children who grew up in a peaceful country? They are so naive and adorable..."

And so, Rita quietly sat on the side, reading a book, while Li Yexing and Lilith played games together. Kanan leaned against his back, engaging in occasional small talk. After dinner, something seemed off about Kanan, though it might have been just an illusion.

They played for a while, and his PSP ran out of battery first. He placed the game console on the table, crawled out from under Kanan, and prepared to go to the bathroom. He opened the room door and saw the dark-haired girl still kneeling on the floor.

Li Yexing glanced at the girl and headed to the bathroom without looking back.

After using the bathroom, he returned and didn't spare a glance at the girl outside the door. He closed the room door behind him and said, "Get some sleep. Tomorrow, we'll go to the city center and then to the hot springs."

A few minutes later, the sound of turning off the lights came from the room, and the light that seeped through the door crack vanished. The lonely girl remained kneeling in the cold corridor, silently waiting. Her limbs gradually grew numb, tingly, and painful, almost losing consciousness. It seemed like dawn was approaching.

Inside the room, Li Yexing, illuminated by the faint light, wore dark circles under his eyes and displayed impatience on his face. He coldly said, "Come in."

The next second, Hitomi's eyes went dark, and she completely collapsed, losing consciousness.
