[MHCISQD] Chapter 196: The Meeting and Shie Hassaikai

Since they were not traveling alone, Renault did not ride a motorcycle. Instead, they arrived at the subway station together with Uraraka and Tsuyu.

While waiting for the subway, the three unexpectedly ran into Midoriya and Kirishima.

Midoriya's presence wasn't surprising since Renault and the others were headed to the same place as Midoriya's hero office.

As they waited for the subway, Renault asked, "Kirishima, can you tell us where you're going?"

"Well, I don't know the specifics. I was just given an address," Kirishima replied while taking out a piece of paper with the address written on it.

Midoriya, who was standing nearby, felt a sense of familiarity and quickly recalled something. "Isn't this... Sir Nighteye's office?" he exclaimed.

At this moment, Renault chuckled. "It seems like we're all headed to the same place."

"The same place?"

"The same place?!"

Midoriya and Kirishima were both taken aback.

"Huh? You didn't know?" Uraraka curiously asked. "It's understandable if Kirishima-kun didn't know, but Izuku-kun, how come you didn't know? We were all informed to gather at your work study location, right?"

"Sir Nighteye didn't tell me anything. I was just called to the office as usual, but today I wasn't asked to bring my hero costume," Midoriya said, still looking puzzled. Clearly, he couldn't quite grasp why so many people had gathered at the same place today.

"Well, you'll find out once we get there, won't you?" Renault said, seeing that the subway had arrived. Without further ado, he beckoned everyone to enter the subway train together.

They got off at their stop and followed Midoriya, who led the way without the need for directions.

Soon enough, they arrived in front of an inconspicuous office building. Downstairs, they saw Togata Mirio, Amajiki Tamaki, and Hado Nejire, who had just arrived.

"Hey! You all made it!" Togata greeted them with a smile. "The others have already arrived too. Let's head up quickly."

Kirishima caught up and asked Amajiki, "Senpai, how's your condition?"

Amajiki replied in his usual deep voice, "Ah, after a night of rest, I've already recovered."

As he spoke, he extended his right hand, which had transformed into a hoof. "Just had a beef bowl for breakfast this morning."

Amajiki's Quirk is called 'Manifest', which allows him to reproduce the physical characteristics of the food he consumes. Through the food he holds, he can exhibit a wide range of combat techniques.

"Oh! That's great!" Kirishima was delighted to see Amajiki's Quirk restored.

As they ascended the stairs, the group arrived at the lobby of the office, where they saw many people already gathered.

Ryukyu, Fat Gum, Gran Torino, and several other unfamiliar Pro Heroes were present. Even their homeroom teacher, Aizawa, had arrived, all assembling in Nighteye's office lobby.

"So many people. Is something big happening?" Kirishima exclaimed in astonishment.

"Ryukyu~" Hado ran over and hugged Ryukyu, curiously asking, "You said we were called for a meeting. Why are there so many people here? What's going on? It's been kept secret the whole time!"

After comforting Hado, Ryukyu looked at the approaching Renault and said, "Don't worry, you'll find out soon enough. Now that everyone is here, we can start, right, Sir Nighteye?"

Ryukyu glanced towards the entrance where a tall, slender man dressed in a suit, meticulously groomed with glasses, walked in with a serious expression.

"Just in time. Let's head to the conference room," Nighteye, All Might's former partner, said directly after surveying the room.

Once they entered a large conference room and everyone took their seats, Nighteye sat at the head of the table and began, "First of all, I want to express my gratitude for the valuable information each of you has provided. It has significantly advanced our investigation. What is the true purpose of this organization called Shie Hassaikai? Today, I hope we can consolidate and share our intelligence and then discuss our next steps."

Shie Hassaikai?

Upon hearing this name, Renault couldn't help but squint his eyes.

During the past few months, he had been causing trouble for various gangs at night, and he had come into contact with numerous organizations of different sizes. He had heard of Shie Hassaikai before, but he hadn't directly encountered them. The leader of that organization seemed to be cautious, and after he stirred up some incidents, they went into hiding and became even more secretive in their activities.

Now, in a meeting gathering so many Pro Heroes, he was surprised to hear the name of this organization once again.

After everyone's expressions turned serious, Nighteye spoke, "Well, I will explain in detail in order."

Beside him, Nighteye's assistant, Bubble Girl, held up a tablet and began explaining, "Our Nighteye Agency started investigating a specific group called the Shie Hassaikai about two weeks ago."

"What triggered the investigation?"

"It was an incident involving a gang of thieves called Reservoir Dogs, with silver-haired individuals. The police hastily closed the case as an accident, but there were too many suspicious points, so we started our investigation."

Then, a Pro Hero sitting in a seat near Nighteye, with a centipede-like head, spoke up, "I am the office assistant, Centipeder. I started the investigation under Sir Nighteye's instructions. And then we discovered that within this year, the Shie Hassaikai had significantly increased their contacts with people outside their organization, as well as black market trading groups. It's clear that they have intentions to expand their organization and raise funds."

"As the investigation progressed, we unexpectedly found connections between Shie Hassaikai and members of the League of Villains. Although we were cautious during our investigation, we eventually obtained assistance from the police and confirmed that these two organizations are currently in some kind of conflict."

Gran Torino, after listening, suddenly realized, "Ahh, I see. That's why they called us. Kid, it seems like we're caught up in a big mess."

Gran Torino directed his words to Midoriya.

"I don't see it as a trouble," Midoriya shook his head.

At that moment, a Pro Hero attending the meeting spoke up, "I've been wondering why we have to involve U.A.'s brats in this meeting. When it comes to real conspiracies, it can get pretty dark, you know!"

With that said, Fat Gum, the most prominent figure in the room, stood up and pointed to Amajiki and Kirishima beside him, saying, "Don't say that. These two people have important information!"

Ryukyu added, "The same goes for my Renault and Tsuyu."

Nighteye nodded and said, "Shie Hassaikai is suspected of dealing with illegal drugs, so we invited heroes with expertise in the field to assist, and we have indeed made significant progress."

Fat Gum took over the topic and said, "I've spent a lot of energy taking down such groups before, and in the recent debut battle of Red Riot, a never-before-seen drug that disrupts Quirks was used, and it successfully hit Tamaki."

The atmosphere in the room instantly fell silent and became solemn.
