[MHCISQD] Chapter 203: Battle Encounter

Just as the hidden door opened, several members of the Shie Hassaikai appeared right at the entrance.

"Who are you?!"

Before they could make any moves, Nighteye's sidekick, Centipeder, immediately activated his own Quirk. His two arms, resembling centipede limbs, swiftly coiled around the opponents.

The remaining lone member was swiftly subdued by another sidekick, Bubble Girl, with a single move.

Bubble Girl looked at the others and said, "Leave this to us. You go ahead! We'll catch up soon!"

Stepping on the stairs, the group quickly arrived in the underground space. However, just as they turned a corner, they found the path ahead blocked.

"Hey! Where's the way? What's going on, Nighteye, explain!"

Renault quickly examined the point of contact between the blocking wall and the original passage, analyzing, "This section was blocked off later. It must be Quirk's ability."

Togata stepped forward and said, "I'll go check it out!"

With that, he passed through the wall and returned a few seconds later.

"This wall is just a disguise. Behind it is a normal passage, but the wall is extremely thick."

"Such petty tricks are futile; they won't be effective," Renault said as he patted the eager Kirishima and Midoriya on their shoulders. "Let me show you what I can do. If any villains appear later on, I will leave them to you. My goal is solely the final boss."

After saying that, he clenched his fist, and with a faint black-purple aura, his punch struck the wall.

*CRACK!*

Surprisingly, there was only a crisp sound, and then the entire thick wall simply vanished, revealing the original passage.

Retracting his fist, Renault said, "Actually, I could have used my full strength to destroy this entire space, but it's not safe. We have to advance slowly."

Nighteye silently pushed his glasses after witnessing Renault's action, and his brain quickly analyzed the situation.

"So that's how it is? It was hidden quite well."

Without further contemplation, Nighteye said, "Alright, let's move forward immediately."

However, as soon as they took a step forward, the path ahead started to twist in a bizarre manner, continuously deforming. Within seconds, it became unrecognizable.

The police captain who had been following along the way shouted, "This isn't Chisaki's Quirk; the entire road has twisted. This is general manager Irinaka! But isn't this scale too large? That guy should only be able to 'enter' and 'manipulate' objects with the size of a refrigerator!"

Fat Gum said with a stern face, "However if he has obtained a Quirk-enhancing drug, it's not surprising, right? Irinaka can use a Quirk called 'Mimicry', which allows him to enter and manipulate objects. He has entered the concrete structure of the underground building and turned this place into a living maze!"

"So, you mean we can't find the original target's location anymore?" Renault furrowed his brow, sensing the complexity of the situation. But without hesitation, he charged forward, activating his Quirk and enveloping his entire body.

"Since it's a maze, all we need to do is find the endpoint! I'm going ahead, you all be careful!"

At the same time, Togata rushed out as well, charging towards the wall. "I'm going too! My Quirk is invulnerable to the opponent. I'll go find Eri-chan first!"

"Hey, you two!" Aizawa watched as Togata went straight through the wall and Renault swiftly destroyed the concrete, disappearing into the ever-changing maze without even having time to react. "These two actually acted on their own!"

Nighteye, on the other hand, showed no change in expression. "This is the best solution. If we stay together, we'll be more affected by the enemy's influence... WATCH YOUR STEP!"

Suddenly, the ground beneath everyone's feet began to twist, and a hollow suddenly appeared, causing them to fall through.

"Watch your landing!"

Aizawa stabilized himself and landed on the ground, immediately looking up. "The path above has been sealed off!"

Surveying their surroundings, besides the heroes who fell down with them, there were only a few police officers.

"So, you're saying we've been separated? Huh?"

At the other end of the passage, several Shie Hassaikai members, completely different from the lackeys they had encountered earlier, appeared before them.

It seems they had set up an ambush.

Facing the continuously distorting walls before him, Renault charged forward without hesitation, unleashing his black hole ability. He continuously smashed and devoured the concrete ahead, creating a pathway for himself.

"This can't go on forever. Where could it be?"

As the original underground transformed into a living maze, he couldn't be certain. He could only roughly follow Nighteye's previous instructions and move forward.

"Hmm? Vibrations and sounds? ...something's not right."

Suddenly, as the maze corridors twisted, he followed the still-open passage and heard a faint sound.

"The sound of battle, gunfire, and a little girl's voice?"

Without hesitation, he came to a halt, took a deep breath, and changed his course toward the direction of the sound.

Sure enough, as he adjusted his direction, more obstacles appeared ahead, and the speed of corridor distortion increased.

"It seems like I'm on the right track. But Togata-senpai should be faster than me. This general manager's Quirk won't stop him, so the battle must have already begun."

While destroying obstacles in his path, his hands tensed, and two purple-black fluctuations appeared on his forearms, ready to launch an attack at any moment.

Soon, after a dozen seconds, the sound of battle ahead grew louder.

"They're here!"

Renault burst through the wall, appearing directly in an undistorted corridor.

Observing the scene inside, he didn't hesitate to swing his arms. Two spatial blades, capable of cutting through space, shot out, attacking a black-masked man wielding a handgun.

"Two against one. Isn't that a bit unfair? Count me in!"

"Renault!" Togata's expression brightened upon seeing Renault suddenly appear, but his body also became weak, leaning against the wall.

Did he get hit? It must be the ability of the guy holding the bottle.

"Senpai, where's that guy, Chisaki?"

"He went ahead with Eri-chan."

"I see." Landing on the ground, Renault looked at the black-masked man who evaded his attack and stood alongside another bottle-wielding white-masked man. "Well then, let's deal with these two first."

Upon hearing Renault's words, the black-masked man smirked disdainfully and said, "Oh? Just you alone? You should know that your senpai is already done. 1 versus 2, do you still think you have a chance of winning?"

"Heh, I'll know once I try." Without hesitation, Renault swiftly moved his neck and charged toward them. "If I don't take you down, consider me defeated."
