[MHCISQD] Chapter 243: Staying in U.A.?

Three people appeared directly in front of the U.A.'s teaching building. It was the weekend, so there weren't many people around.

They entered the teaching building and arrived at Aizawa's office. They knocked on the door and entered.

Aizawa, who was on the phone, saw the three of them and gestured with his hand. After a few sentences, he finished the conversation.

"Now that you're back, tell me about the strength of the people sent by the League of Villains. According to what you said, Renault, it seems they have recruited new members," Aizawa said.

The three of them sat down, and Renault nodded. "They brought four people. I'm not sure about the Quirks and abilities of the two of them since I finished them directly. While the other two have a Quirk that turns his body into rock and one uses a long blade. The specific Quirks are not obvious, but they seem to be strengthening types. In terms of strength, they are only on par with regular Pro Heroes, not a significant threat."

Aizawa recorded these details in his notebook and said, "Well, it's not easy to find elite-level individuals. However, we still need to be careful. If someone powerful emerges from some corner, we might be caught off guard."

"If that's the case, there's nothing we can do. Even if the League of Villains takes action today, they are still operating from the shadows and have the initiative. We can only defend passively. Finding their hideout is not something we can accomplish easily. Ahh, if it were Sir Nighteye, there might be a possibility. But the villains are aware of his Quirk, so they won't be unprepared," Renault added.

"As for these matters, let the committee handle them. We just need to focus on our own responsibilities," Aizawa said, putting down his pen. He then turned to Mei, who had been silent. "Don't look so worried. Your father is fine now."

"Really?" Mei asked, surprised and relieved.

"I'm a teacher after all, I wouldn't lie to you about something like this. Your mother is fine too. The security strength around her is even stronger than what your father arranged for himself. It's just that your father got injured a bit. Currently, the two of them are in a safe house, recovering and dealing with some of the losses. ME Corp was attacked, and although there weren't many casualties, they managed to steal a significant amount of cutting-edge equipment." Aizawa explained.

"My father is injured?" Mei became worried again.

"Don't panic. Our school's Recovery Girl has already gone there. I assure you that you'll see your father safe and sound soon," Aizawa said, unsure of how to address Mei's indifference toward the company's losses.

Rubbing his chin, he continued, "There's something I wanted to ask. Do you really have no idea what your father has been researching lately?"

"Mhm... I really don't know. I haven't studied any related scientific research since I was young. I did consider studying management, but I don't seem to have a talent for it, so my father didn't nurture me in that direction. And recently, my father just told me to focus on training and prepare for next year's U.A.'s entrance exam." Mei replied, her expression somewhat uneasy. "Aizawa-sensei, my father wouldn't be researching something illegal, would he?"

"No, he wouldn't. You can rest assured. But since he didn't mention it, let's leave it at that. Your father has a good relationship with our school, and we trust him." Aizawa reassured.

Standing up and taking his notebook with him, Aizawa said, "Alright, there's nothing else I need to ask you here. But Raiden, for the next few days, it would be best if you stay in U.A. Instead of going back to your own home. Although ME Corp has security personnel, we can't guarantee that the League of Villains won't try anything. Your father asked us to ensure your safety."

"Stay in U.A.?" With her parents' safety no longer a concern, the girl shifted her attention to U.A. and agreed with a hint of curiosity. "I understand, thank you very much!"

"Very well." Aizawa nodded and turned to Yaoyorozu. "She can stay in your class's dormitory. Yaoyorozu, as the class vice president, you can arrange a room for her and take care of bedding and other living necessities. Just contact the school's logistics department, I've already informed them."

"I understand."

After leaving the office, Aizawa went straight to the principal's office. Meanwhile, Renault and Yaoyorozu took Mei and headed towards the school dormitory, introducing her to the school along the way.

Although Mei had already seen some information about U.A., the actual visit left a much stronger impression.

Despite being a bit of an 'Ojou-sama', Mei couldn't find any faults with U.A., a school that excelled in all aspects of facilities and advancements.

The only drawback... perhaps was its size. After all, those few practice fields alone occupied a vast amount of land.

As they made their way, the two finally arrived in front of the dormitory building.

"Is this the student dormitory? Do all of you live in this one building?" Mei exclaimed in surprise. "With 20 students in a class, there must be many empty rooms!"

"While I'm not sure why they built it this way, I suppose they didn't want the students to live uncomfortably after their rigorous studies and training. This way, there's plenty of space for everyone to move around. And for the school, they can construct these kinds of buildings in just one or two days anyway. Let's go inside; there should already be quite a few people there," Renault explained.

As he spoke, Renault approached and pushed open the door to the dormitory building.

As expected, just as he had guessed, there were already quite a few people in the common area. Midoriya, Todoroki, Iida, Kaminari, Ashido, and Tsuyu were chatting on the sofas in the lobby.

Midoriya's seat faced the entrance, so he was the first to spot Renault coming in. He immediately smiled and said, "Ah, Renault-kun is back!"

The others turned their heads as well and noticed Yaoyorozu and an unfamiliar girl following behind Renault.

"Oh? Another girl we don't know."

"So cute!"

"Who is she?"

Mei entered the lobby and looked somewhat shyly at everyone. She said, "Hello, Senpai. I'm Raiden Mei, and I'll be bothering you here for a few days. Nice to meet you all."

"Senpai? Does that mean you're not a high school student yet?" Tsuyu looked at Mei curiously and asked.

"Yes, I'm currently in the third grade of junior high. I'll be applying to U.A. next year," Mei replied confidently, causing everyone's attention to focus on Renault and Yaoyorozu.

"Alright, I know you're curious, and I'll explain it to you," Renault said and then turned to Yaoyorozu. "Why don't you take her upstairs to rest for now? We've had quite a day."

"Sure," Yaoyorozu nodded and looked at Mei. "Mei, is it okay for you to stay alone? Or would you like to share a room with me? My bed is quite spacious, and there's definitely enough space for two people."

"I'm fine, I'm not that fragile, and besides, nothing will happen, right?" Mei laughed and said, "Yaoyorozu-nee, aren't you afraid of making Renault-senpai jealous with your words?"

As soon as she said that, Renault froze, and Midoriya and the others' eyes lit up.

Something is up!
