[MHCISQD] Chapter 260: The Group's Sweetheart

After concluding all the rehearsals and preparations, everyone finally returned to the dormitory.

Having finished washing up, Yaoyorozu, just like the previous days, entered Renault's room.

Lying in his embrace, Yaoyorozu expressed her excitement, saying, "The cultural festival is finally happening tomorrow."

"Why do you seem more excited than everyone else?" Renault asked.

Yaoyorozu nodded and replied, "You know how it was in my previous school. Nobody bothered to put in such united effort to prepare for a cultural festival, and I couldn't be bothered to participate either."

"Hmm... we do seem similar in that aspect. I never really took part in cultural festivals before. I'd just tag along and handle some logistics, then spend the day hunting for food," Renault remarked.

"In that case, after our performance tomorrow, let's explore the festival together, shall we?" As soon as she finished asking, Yaoyorozu's expression changed, and she teasingly looked at Renault. "Oh, wait, your official girlfriend will be here tomorrow too. What should we do?"

Renault looked at her helplessly and switched off the lights in the room. "Just go to sleep already. We'll figure out tomorrow's matters tomorrow. I'll handle it."

The next day, Friday.

Today at U.A. was different from the usual days. The entire school was decorated and bustling with activity.

The plaza had been transformed into a commercial street, with many classes and school clubs setting up stalls. There were games to play and snacks to buy, basically, everything you would find at a traditional fair.

Everyone woke up early and after breakfast, they began to prepare for the day.

Mei had left a few days ago but promised to come back to watch their performance today.

There was also another person who would be coming.

Midoriya stood at the entrance of the dormitory, looking outside and occasionally checking his watch.

Upon seeing this, Renault casually took a sip of tea and said, "Midoriya, come back and sit down. Aizawa-sensei went to pick them up early, so they will definitely come."

"I know all that, but I still can't help but worry."

Midoriya scratched his head and returned to the sofa after coming back, but soon became restless again.

"Well, I understand. After all, it's Eri-chan's first time at U.A., and we don't know what kind of experience she'll have." Kirishima said, patting Midoriya's shoulder. "But I think she'll definitely love U.A."

That's right, instead of going to the backstage of the big auditorium, they were waiting here specifically for Eri, who had agreed to come to U.A. today.

Eri had successfully completed the series of exercises mentioned by Aizawa and had also undergone psychological testing by doctors. She had obtained permission to live in a new environment, which was U.A.

Renault wasn't worried about this at all and said, "It's 8:40 now. If we calculate the time, they should arrive in ten or twenty minutes. However, U.A. will be crowded today, so there might be some traffic. But knowing Aizawa-sensei's style, it's unlikely they will use the main entrance."

Some of the teachers who frequently went out had other entrances they used to enter the school. Teachers like Aizawa, who were important figures, naturally had more than one entrance. This was something he mentioned in passing during conversations, but no one knew where those entrances were.

After saying that, Renault turned to the kitchen and said, "Are you still in the kitchen? Come out quickly!"

After a few seconds, Yaoyorozu walked out of the kitchen, feeling a bit nervous. She said, "I just wanted to check if the dough was okay since we promised to make some pastries for Eri-chan."

"Haven't you already checked it? There won't be any problems. Why are you getting so worried?" Renault sighed and handed a banana to Yaoyorozu. "Have something to eat and calm down."

Although Renault said so, Yaoyorozu still had some concerns. She ate the banana while occasionally glancing toward the kitchen.

As time passed, it was nine o'clock, and finally, a series of footsteps of varying intensities could be heard from outside the dormitory building.

"They're here."

Everyone looked towards the entrance, and within a few seconds, Aizawa and Togata appeared with Eri.

Eri didn't expect so many people to be waiting for her as soon as she entered. Instinctively, she hid behind Togata for a moment. But after seeing familiar faces like Midoriya, Renault, and Uraraka, she regained her composure and stepped forward, though her face was flushed with shyness.

Aizawa obviously hadn't expected everyone to still be here. He said, "You guys have been waiting all this time?"

Renault nodded, "Of course. We knew Eri-chan would come, and while some of us have met her before, others haven't. It's our first time meeting her, so we didn't want to miss out."

Aizawa glanced at the clock indoors, pondered for a moment, and said, "You're starting the performance at ten, don't forget. And what about the preparations?"

Iida replied, "We've already checked everything early in the morning. It's foolproof. The props are being properly handled by the cultural festival's logistics schoolmates, and we have already cross-checked."

Just as Iida finished speaking, several people bumped into him from behind, coming around him and gathering around Eri, forming a lively crowd.

"Hey, you're Eri-chan, right? Nice to meet you! I'm Kaminari Denki!"

"I'm Ashido Mina, Eri-chan!"

"I'm Jiro Kyoka."

"I'm Mineta Minoru~"

""Mineta, get lost!!"" Everyone said simultaneously.

Renault stood in place, watching the lively group of people. He turned to Togata, who was approaching, and said, "Looks like Eri-chan will become the group's sweetheart from now on."

Togata looked at Eri, who was surrounded by everyone, receiving their warm greetings. Her face turned red, but it was clear that she was happy. He nodded and said, "Yeah, at least this way, our efforts weren't in vain."

"Togata-senpai, do you have a performance for today's cultural festival?"

"Me? No, I don't. After all, I'm pretty clumsy in general, except when it comes to fighting. They didn't ask me to help with anything else. But, Nejire over there seems to be participating in a competition. Once your performance is over, you can go and see."

"Hado-senpai? Participating in a competition?" Renault glanced at Togata, who only showed a mysterious smile.

Well, it seemed he had to find the answers himself.
