[MHCISQD] Chapter 268: His Sister and Discussion
Added 2023-06-24 19:41:15 +0000 UTCAizawa let out a sigh and said, "Staying here indefinitely isn't productive. It's already noon; let's grab something to eat first. There's been a notice at the teaching building that no one can enter today. After lunch, we'll head over there to investigate and see if we can find anything."
Nighteye pushed his glasses and agreed with Aizawa's suggestion, "Let's do that."
*Ring~ Ring~*
"Hmm?" Aizawa picked up his phone and saw it was from the school's security office. "What's up? Who did you say? Alright, please bring her in. We're at Class 1-A's dormitory building."
After hanging up the phone, Aizawa looked at Mikoto and asked, "Why did you bring her here?"
"Who?"
"Suzushina Yuriko."
Mikoto was taken aback. "I didn't. I just mentioned the situation to her and asked if she knew anything about it."
The other students in the class, upon hearing that name, recalled the figure of that cold and aloof person from the past.
That Renault's twin sister?
Iida furrowed his brow and looked at Yaoyorozu, who didn't seem too surprised. "Yaoyorozu, what's going on? Isn't that person..."
Yaoyorozu didn't answer immediately; instead, she looked at Aizawa. After all, only a few people knew about Yuriko's situation.
"If she comes, there's no need to hide it anymore."
"I understand." Yaoyorozu nodded and looked at everyone. "Do you all remember the battle of Kamino?"
Everyone nodded.
Yaoyorozu Momo continued, "That day, Midoriya, Iida, Kirishima, and Todoroki and I acted privately to rescue Bakugo-kun. At the same time, Renault also went. However, he didn't appear in front of us. He went to rescue Suzushina Yuriko, his younger sister, and after that, she stayed at his house."
"...Is it that simple?" Midoriya was momentarily stunned. He had expected there to be more shocking revelations.
"Is there anything more complicated than that?" Yaoyorozu sighed and said, "I found out about it later. Renault actually went to Kamino. I think originally he intended to meet up with us, but he didn't show up because of his younger sister."
Yaoyorozu's guess was partially correct, but Renault didn't just fail to show up; he appeared at the scene with a different identity.
After a few minutes, the dormitory door was pushed open again, and Yuriko, wearing a white shirt and black pants, appeared in front of everyone.
Kaminari rubbed his chin and whispered, "If it weren't for the hair length, I would've mistaken her for Renault."
Indeed, the two of them looked very similar, and the only way to distinguish them was through their build and hair. If they concealed themselves well and wore the same clothes, people who weren't familiar with the siblings wouldn't be able to recognize them.
Yuriko didn't show any signs of concern regarding Renault's disappearance. After entering, she went straight to Aizawa and said, "What's going on? Misaka Mikoto didn't explain it clearly on the phone."
"Take a seat first." Aizawa gestured towards the sofa and called the cafeteria on his phone, deciding to have lunch delivered to the dormitory and address the matter there.
Yuriko sat down next to Mikoto, calmly saying, "There's no need to worry too much; that guy hasn't died yet."
Upon hearing that, Kirishima slammed the table in displeasure. "Oy! You, Renault is your brother, right? How can you say something like that--"
Suddenly, Yuriko's indifferent gaze fell upon Kirishima, who was in the midst of speaking, making him feel a chill down his spine. He promptly closed his mouth.
After retracting her gaze, Yuriko spoke, "I understand his strength better than anyone else. Unless it's All For One, he won't be in trouble. Of course, that's assuming there isn't a formidable opponent I'm unaware of."
Nighteye glanced at the girl who existed only in the records and said, "Assuming what you say is correct, where is he now? It's not just him, even All Might has disappeared. Although safety, as you claim, is not a major concern, the fact that they can't be found is still problematic."
"He was probably captured by someone with teleportation abilities. Either that person was careless, or they intentionally got caught to see who's behind it." Yuriko pondered and spoke.
Aizawa clicked his tongue and said, "Seems like the kid was captured by accident. If it was the latter, he would have left a message for us at least, instead of leaving us in the dark. Once he returns, he deserves some punishment for causing trouble all the time."
Mikoto looked at Yuriko beside her and tugged on her arm, asking, "Are you sure he's okay?"
"Do I have any reason to lie to you? With his skills, if he really wanted to come back, he would have done so already. As for why there's no contact at the moment, he's probably in a place with blocked signals."
"Hahh... That's a relief. That's a relief," Mikoto finally breathed a sigh of relief. Now, all they had to do was wait for Renault to return.
Once Yuriko confirmed his safety, Mikoto finally shifted her attention to her senpai, Yaoyorozu Momo.
However, she wouldn't do anything rash. After all, Yaoyorozu is Renault's schoolmate. What if these two people were up to something behind her back? If she suddenly did something...
She thought to herself that she should find her mother for advice but in a different way. The girl contemplated in her heart, considering whether or not to seek her mother's advice.
Soon, the cafeteria delivered the meals, and after everyone finished eating, Aizawa instructed Class A's students to continue participating in the festival.
"You guys did a great job in the morning performance, but as soon as it ended, all of you disappeared. If someone with ill intentions were to notice that, it could cause problems. So leave it to me, and all of you go and enjoy yourselves," Aizawa waved his hand, urging everyone to leave.
Although the others didn't want to leave and wanted to wait for Renault to come back, Iida spoke up, "Alright, what Aizawa-sensei said is correct. We should relax and enjoy the festival. Renault should be fine. Whatever happened, he will definitely tell us when he returns."
Since Iida, as the class president already said this, the others had no choice but to leave.
However, Yaoyorozu stayed behind.
"Aizawa-sensei, as the class vice president, I'll stay. It's only fitting to have a representative."
Aizawa felt a slight headache for a moment. As the homeroom teacher, he could see through her intentions.
But seeing Mikoto not object, he silently agreed to let Yaoyorozu stay.
The group then headed towards the academic building.
