I had my neighbors get their kids inside and close the doors. They looked at me like I was crazy until I pointed at the sick raccoon. It was in bad shape, out during the day, and drooling. Very very rabid. They still treated me like a weirdo, but a well meaning weirdo. The police came out to handle the situation because they wouldn't let me discharge a firearm in town.
