[TSSIM] Chapter 386: To the Animation Company

Time flew by.

Finally, Saturday rolled around again.

On this Saturday, Homura and the others didn't have any special plans originally.

There were no new manga serializations, no new game releases, and certainly no big announcements.

However, the illustrations, keyframes, and corresponding assets for the anime 'Fate/stay night' were ready to be delivered to the animation company. Since the members of Another Dimension were all students, many tasks could only be completed on weekends. Because of this, Homura planned to deliver them today.

Moreover, since the animation company belonged to the Minamiya family, they naturally had to consider Homura's existence a bit more, so they wouldn't dare to forget about the overtime pay for the staff either.

Homura packed two file folders into his backpack, one was theirs, and the other was sent by Akane.

"This anime production will be a breeze for the animation company, huh..." Homura shook his head with a wry smile. "After all, we've done most of the tasks. We handled things like animation supervision, art direction, and whatnot. They just need to piece together our works and add sound effects."

"Well, everyone still wants to do their own important work, right? We wouldn't trust it to anyone else." Elf rolled her eyes.

"Yeah, the script tells us what to draw and how to draw it, and we artists... just need to draw." Eriri nodded.

"Anyway, the one who's really exhausted is still Homura-kun..." Utaha smiled faintly. "There are probably over twenty roles, and Homura-kun has taken on more than half of them, especially when it comes to quality control... probably no one else could handle it like Homura-kun."

"Don't praise me yet. This is only a part of it. Wait until everyone finishes, then you can praise me all you want." Homura chuckled and shook his head. "Oh, by the way, anyone wanna come with me?" 

"Nah, I'm good..." Elf shook her head.

"Fair enough... You've been in the anime business long enough, you know it like the back of your hand."

"I'll tag along! Wait for me!" Eriri dashed off in a flash.

'She's disguising herself, right? As if anyone in the industry doesn't know her...' Homura thought with a wry smile.

"I'll go too." Mashiro raised her hand.

Homura nodded, observing the girls.

"Anyone else?"

Everyone exchanged glances.

"Let's talk about it next time. It's not good to bring too many people at once. Plus, it's not like it's the only time we'll go, right?" Utaha spoke up.

"Sounds good." Homura nodded.

When Eriri came down, Homura, Eriri, and Mashiro immediately set off together.

Three hours later.

Homura, Eriri, and Mashiro walked out of the animation company and began returning home.

"It seems like there's nothing special about it, huh?"

While walking home, Eriri remarked while shaking her head.

"What could be so special?" Homura chuckled. "We've done what we needed to do—handed over those folders and gave them some instructions. All they can do is pure animation. The interesting part is perhaps the voice acting."

"Voice acting... when will it start anyway?" Eriri asked.

Homura blinked his eyes and suddenly remembered something.

"Come to think of it, I don't think I've mentioned it to you girls... It's tomorrow."

"Huh?" Eriri blinked. "Did I hear wrong?"

"No, you didn't. Actually, they could do it now, but they need some time to arrange it, so it's tomorrow." Homura explained. "And don't think that voice acting only comes in after the anime is done since sometimes it's quite the opposite. Some voice acting is even done months in advance before the anime is finished."

"I see... But it still feels a bit strange..." Eriri nodded thoughtfully.

"Yeah, but when that happens, it really tests the skill of voice actors. They have to imagine every scene themselves and give their best performance... All the famous voice actors truly live up to their reputation, it's the ultimate praise for them."

"Muse, are they okay?" Mashiro asked.

Homura ruffled Mashiro's hair.

"Don't worry, under my guidance, even if they can't be called super monsters, they're definitely little monsters."

"Guidance..." Mashiro looked at him, her eyes sparkling.

"..."

Seeing her reaction, Homura fell silent and couldn't help but retort inside his mind.

'Mashiro-san... your focus is a bit off!'

Homura, already returned home and sitting on a couch, looking speechless as he read the comments.

He suddenly became forgotten halfway through!

However, Eriri's disguise surprisingly worked as no one seemed to recognize her. Dealing with netizens was getting harder and harder, after all.

Homura turned his head to look at Muse's girls, who had arrived after he left for the animation company.

"So, how's it going? Tomorrow's your first time doing voice acting with other voice actors." Homura asked.

"Shouldn't be a problem," Eli shook her head. "I feel like I need more mental preparation for performing as Muse on stage, rather than voice acting with strangers."

Homura nodded.

"That's good. Tomorrow, make sure to keep up with my pace and greet everyone nicely. After all, they're our seniors, worthy of our respect and learning.

And don't be afraid if they act all high and mighty. With me around, they won't dare to show that attitude.

Also, it's necessary and really beneficial for you all to learn their voice acting techniques and improvisation skills on-site."

Homura gave Muse's girls instructions one by one, and they listened carefully. After all, if everything went as expected, their lives would be forever tied to voice acting.
