[TSSIM] Chapter 393: Mya-nee

"Hoshino..."

As the girls looked at him, Homura muttered a name.

""Hmm?""

All the girls wore confused expressions.

"Hoshino Miyako... is that her name?" Homura asked Utaha.

"I think so...?" Utaha frowned.

"Miyako?" Nayuta was puzzled. "Myaa-san?"

"Wait a sec." Homura went to his room and came back with some papers.

"It's different Miyako, their name have the same pronunciation, but different characters." Homura wrote down both names.

"Ohh... different Myaa-san..." Nayu said with a strange expression.

"She isn't Myaa-san..." Homura laughed. "She is Mya-nee!"

"Huh? What's with that name all of a sudden?" Elf asked, looking puzzled.

"During the last school festival, I saw a little girl clinging to someone outside the cosplay cafe, calling her Mya-nee." Homura answered with a smile.

"That must be her little sister, right? I mean, she's calling her '-nee' after all..." Megumi said with a slight smile, thinking the nickname was quite amusing.

"Well, it's not certain yet!" Elf shook her head.

"I think if Homura-kun says so, it's probably true." Megumi added.

"Why don't I just draw her, and we'll know?"

Homura shrugged and started sketching Hoshino Miyako from his brief memory of her at the school festival.

After finishing, he handed his drawing to Utaha.

"You should remember her, right, Utaha?"

"Ahh, that's right!" Utaha nodded decisively after seeing his drawing. "It's her! I didn't expect Homura-kun to know though."

"I just happened to see her twice. This drawing is straight from my memory."

As Homura finished speaking, the others noticed that his sketch of Miyako showed her crouching, with a little girl happily nestled in her arms.

"Although it's just a side profile, the little girl really looks a lot like her..." Eli observed, nodding her head. "They must be sisters."

"By the way..." Homura chuckled. "She doesn't have heterochromatic eyes like Utaha said."

Upon hearing his words, Utaha raised an eyebrow. "Could she be wearing colored contact lenses? But she doesn't look like someone who cares much about fashion."

"Well, who hasn't had a chuunibyou phase?" Homura added, putting on an eyepatch and throwing in a line. "My Evil Eye is the strongest!"

"Ahahaha, what's that!" Elf laughed while clutching her stomach, then stopped and wore a serious expression. "Is it stronger than my God's Eye, though?"

Homura: "..."

"Why ask me? I don't have this Evil Eye..." Homura said, rolling his eyes. "I can only roll my eyes..."

Upon hearing that, the girls were somewhat amused.

After drawing again for a while, Homura turned his head to Utaha.

"The little sister has both red eyes, and the mother doesn't have heterochromatic eyes either. It would be strange if only the older sister had them, right?"

"The three of them really look alike, nyaa~" Rin exclaimed.

"That's why I can confirm this one is the mother." Homura continued. "Also, she's good at making cosplay outfits, right? But... is she only good at making them?"

Upon hearing his hint, Utaha thought for a moment before speaking up.

"You mean..."

"Heh..." Homura chuckled but didn't elaborate. 'Well, Mya-nee is shy in front of others, and not many know about her love for cosplay.'

"Umu... If she didn't like cosplay, she probably wouldn't want to make cosplay outfits." Eriri nodded. "So the colored contacts are likely for cosplay."

"This makes more sense..." Utaha pointed at the eyepatch Homura drew. "After all, who leaves colored contacts in after a cosplay event?"

"Although we can't be sure if this is true..." Elf looked at Homura. "With Homura's information gathering and analysis skills, he wouldn't say it if he's not sure, right? So it's very likely true."

"But what's the use of this information?" Hanayo asked curiously.

"Other than knowing more about her, it's not very useful." Homura shrugged his shoulders casually.

He then looked at Kotori.

"If you want to talk to her, you could find some common ground. Mya-nee seems to be an introverted girl."

"Talking to her..." Kotori was intrigued but eventually hesitated. "Would Hoshino-senpai agree?"

"That's why you need common ground." Homura smiled faintly. "Just let Utaha tell her that the costume designer for Muse, Minami Kotori, wants to talk. A meeting shouldn't be a problem, and with common ground, it'll be a sure thing."

"Is meeting directly like that really okay?" Hanayo wondered. "If she's very introverted, she might back off, like I did at first..."

"But didn't you gather your courage because of your love for idols?" Homura grinned and patted her head.

Hanayo, being patted on the head by him for the first time, felt extremely shy and almost wanted to shrink back into her clothes!

With a wry smile, Homura withdrew his hand and continued.

"Similarly, Mya-nee here shares this interest too. When she hears about the famous Kotori wanting to interact with her, even if she feels a bit timid at first, she'll eventually agree."

"For her, your stage costumes are her cosplay outfits." Homura nodded toward his drawings.

"...Indeed, for us, they're stage costumes. But when they appear in Homura's manga, they become cosplay outfits for her, giving her and Kotori plenty of common ground, huh..." Nico decisively nodded, finding it very fitting.

"Communication leads to progress?" Nozomi grinned. "Maybe in the future, our stage costumes will all have ideas from Hoshino-san, becoming even cuter and more gorgeous!"

Upon hearing that, Umi couldn't help but smile awkwardly. She had just accepted Kotori's level of design, but if they added ideas from someone who loved cosplay, she couldn't imagine the appearance of her future stage costumes.

Seeing Umi's stiff expression, Kotori smiled wickedly.

"Hmm! I'll surely go and exchange ideas with Hoshino-senpai!"

Umi: "..."

"Oh, right..." Homura started drawing again.

After a while, he stopped moving his hand.

"The style I mostly see from Mya-nee is like this." Homura drew a few costumes he saw at the school festival.

"Cute, nyaa~!" Rin's eyes sparkled as she looked at his drawings.

"So cute and elegant, indeed the style of a magical girl." Eriri nodded appreciatively.

"But... why did Homura-kun start calling her Mya-nee too?" Megumi asked curiously.

"..." Homura fell silent, somewhat speechless. 'Yeah... now that I think about it... why am I?'

Shaking his head, Homura made a grin.

"Well, this Mya-nee's nickname is obviously too addictive!"

"..."

All the girls couldn't help but be speechless.
