[FMMISM] Chapter 21: Date?

After Ragna briefly introduced Morgan to the Sajyou father and daughters, Morgan became a member of their family.

With nearly a month left before the Holy Grail War officially began, Ragna couldn't help but hope that nothing would go wrong during this month of living together.

Manaka welcomed Morgan and expressed her delight in having her.

On the other hand, Hiroki, the typical mage who preferred minimal interaction with Servants, treated Morgan as though she were invisible.

Perhaps in his eyes, Servants in the Holy Grail War were akin to his pigeon familiars in the garden.

Despite Morgan's arrival, life at the Sajyou family continued its leisurely pace.

If there was anything noteworthy happening that caught Ragna's attention—

"She's quite cute, isn't she? You seem quite interested in her."

Ragna quietly approached Morgan from behind and struck up a conversation.

Morgan stood silently by the glass door to the garden, her graceful and elegant figure draped in black and blue, resembling a delicate palm tree.

Elegant and refined, yet with a touch of melancholy.

Morgan's blue eyes were fixed on the Sajyou family's youngest daughter, who was busy watering plants.

"Her name is Sajyou Ayaka, Manaka's younger sister. As you can see, she's quite different from Manaka, lacking outstanding talent in magecraft... Quite pitiful, having such a beautiful and capable sister who can do anything..."

Ragna remarked indifferently, then gripped the handle of the glass door.

"...I'm going to play with her. Would you like to come?"

"I think I'll pass. I'd probably just end up scaring her if I went."

With that, Morgan turned and walked away.

Watching her graceful departure, Ragna couldn't help but smirk.

"What a cutie you are, Vivian."

===

Caster Morgan was a perfect and versatile Servant.

In battle, support, reconnaissance, and strategy, she excelled in every aspect and more importantly, she was remarkably pleasing to the eyes.

If one were to pinpoint a flaw, it would be her inability to use spiritual form, as her presence was just too overbearing.

She always adorned herself in her luxurious black and blue mage attire, revealing vast expanses of snowy skin, leaving her slender and voluptuous figure visible throughout the Sajyou residence.

Hiroki and Ayaka, caught up in Morgan's hypnosis magecraft, perhaps failed to notice anything amiss, but for Ragna, it was rather challenging to focus his attention.

Not that Ragna was embarrassed to appreciate Morgan's presence, but rather because he would attract disapproving looks from his mother and aunt if he stared at Morgan too long.

Luckily, Morgan seemed aware of this herself.

"You want to buy clothes?"

One morning, when only the two of them were left at home, Morgan told Ragna that she wanted to buy some new clothes.

"Yes, sometimes I want to wear clothes that aren't woven with magical energy."

"Well, you're a lady after all, so I understand. Since you put it that way, of course it's okay." Ragna happily pulled out his wallet from his pocket.

Considering how independent Morgan's character was, it was rare for her to ask him for a favor.

'Money really is a wonderful thing.' Ragna thought gleefully, planning to speed up dealing with the Matou family's dirty money. "Is 300,000 yen enough?"

Watching him flaunt crisp, green bills, Morgan shook her head.

"No, that's not what I meant. As for the money, I've already taken care of it. What I wanted to say was... Master, if you have time today, could you accompany me to choose some clothes?"

Upon hearing that, Ragna paused for a moment, shifting his gaze from the TV to Morgan's face.

'So, she's inviting me to go shopping together?'

As soon as he thought that, the word 'date' flashed through his mind.

After a silent exchange, canned laughter from the TV filled the living room.

"Can I be of help though?" Ragna nodded before asking.

"I hope Master can provide me with references and opinions." Morgan said calmly. "If you don't have time then—"

"Let's go."

Ragna promptly interrupted her words and stood up from the sofa.

Twenty minutes later, Ragna was ready to go out.

He wore a black knitted sweater, a gray down vest, and casual attire of ripped jeans.

Around his neck, he wore a red scarf hand-knitted by Manaka.

"Damn, such a handsome boy, are you a child star? Or maybe, a magazine model?" Ragna muttered to himself as he adjusted his bangs in the mirror.

Meanwhile, Morgan still seemed busy in her room. After all, it was understandable for a woman to take some time before going out.

After Ragna walked out of his room, he glanced at Morgan's room and began to ponder.

'Hmm, what should I say next? Should I use the harsh way like 'Still not ready? Hurry up!' or the gentle way like 'I'll be here waiting for you.'?'

'Alright, the gentle way it is.'

Deciding firmly, Ragna proceeded to shout towards Morgan's room.

"Caster, I'm waiting for you at the front door!"

"Sorry for keeping you waiting, I'm coming over in a moment!" Morgan shouted back.

Sometimes, Ragna really couldn't understand Morgan.

Despite her stunning beauty that could captivate anyone, she always applied such vibrant makeup. It seemed like a waste of her naturally beautiful face.

Moreover, she had already used magecraft to disrupt people's gaze, so who was she dressing up for?

Still, after Morgan replied 'I'm coming over in a moment', Ragna stood dumbly in the front door for another twenty minutes before Morgan finally made her entrance.

Morgan, clad in a tight black witch's robe, accentuated her curvaceous figure with its snug fabric, highlighting her ample chest and hips.

Beneath her cheongsam-style skirt, her long, snow-white thighs tantalizingly peeked through, adding to her allure.

The overall style was seductive yet dignified, perfectly complementing her unattainable queen-like charm.

"Sorry, it took a little longer than expected. Thanks for waiting."

"Nah, I didn't wait that long. I just arrived myself." Ragna replied smoothly.

Morgan stared at his face, blinked, and then—

"...Fufu, just arrived, you say? It's not like we were meeting outside, you know."

She covered her mouth with the back of her hand, laughing softly.

"Let's go." Ragna smiled faintly.

"Sure thing, Master."

With that, their hands naturally intertwined.

Neither one took the lead, as both of them tentatively reached out to each other.

It started with a chance touch of fingertips, then their fingers intertwined in silent agreement.

Since it was a 'date', this was just right to taste a fruit sweeter than love itself, known as 'ambiguity'.

Creak—

Without warning, the front door suddenly opened.

In an instant, the hands of the boy and the witch, lightly clasped together, quickly separated in a fluster.

After all, it wasn't Ragna or Morgan who opened the door.

Standing at the doorway was none other than Ragna's mother, Manaka.
