Mya-nee looked at Homura with surprise and commented.
"Homura-kun only really likes Haru. For other cats, it's just a normal kind of like." Utaha explained to her.
"Is that so… But wasn't Minamiya-san just talking to Haru-chan? Does he have such a habit?" Mya-nee wondered.
Utaha shook her head and chuckled.
It seemed like a small misunderstanding had occurred once again.
After Utaha explained Homura's ability to talk with cats, Mya-nee looked surprised.
"Wow! That's amazing!"
Hinata, who heard the explanation beside Mya-nee, exclaimed with excitement.
For children, the ability to talk to animals seemed like something out of a fairy tale, so Hinata's reaction was quite natural.
"That's probably about it. How do you feel, little one? If you're okay with it, I'll make some for you next time."
Homura didn't plan to feed Haru too much, but making a little now and then was fine.
"Meow~ (The taste is okay, but it seems a bit firmer than chicken.)" Haru answered while licking her paw.
"Haha, alright, as long as it tastes good. Your teeth are in great shape now." Homura said with a laugh.
In the next moment, a voice suddenly came from the stage.
"And that concludes the Chorus Club's performance!"
Hearing the announcement, Homura raised his eyebrows.
'Since the Chorus Club's performance has ended, the Light Music Club should be up next, right?'
As Homura was thinking this, she saw Yui's head peek out from the edge of the curtain.
Homura: "…"
In the next second, Tsumugi's head appeared as well. She looked around with a surprised expression before waving at him.
'Aren't you worried about people seeing you?' Homura thought speechlessly.
"Next, we have a band performance from the Light Music Club!"
As the announcement resounded again, suddenly—
"Ahh! Found some money!"
Yui's mischievous voice drifted into Homura's sensitive ears.
Homura nearly burst out laughing.
At a time like this, Yui really had no sense of tension at all!
A moment later, the curtain finally opened, and the Light Music Club finally made its official debut.
"How cute..."
"Cute."
"Yeah..."
As people looked at the four girls on stage in their outfits, compliments came one after another.
"Yeah, they really are cute, and the outfits suit them perfectly..." Kotori sighed lightly.
"Um, there's nothing excessive about the decorations. I don't think others could pull off this kind of impact..." Mya-nee also shared her thoughts.
"But... did they buy those outfits, or were they custom-made?" Kotori asked with curiosity.
"Oh, those outfits were actually designed by their teacher."
Homura smiled and revealed the presence of Yamanaka Sawako.
"Their teacher?" Kotori nodded understandingly. "A bit surprising, but I can understand."
'No, you don't quite understand yet just how talented Sawako-sensei is.' Homura thought to himself. 'You'll fully grasp it when you see the various outfits Mugi and the others will wear in the future.'
"Hello everyone, we are the Light Music Club~!"
As expected, Yui was the one who became the emcee.
"Everyone, welcome to our school festival!"
"First of all... we'll perform 'Fuwa Fuwa Time' dedicated to everyone!"
Obviously, the first song was to warm up the audience.
At this point, if Yui started delivering a speech, no one might be listening. Only when she and her friends' song moved the audience would they start paying attention to what she had to say.
"When I look at you, my heart always goes thump-thump~"
"This shaking feeling is fluffy-fluffy, like a marshmallow~"
"You're always so persistent, You don't even notice~"
"Me, always staring at your profile~"
"When we're in my dreams~"
"The distance between us can be shortened~"
===
""OOOOHHHHH—!!!""
"Yui~! You're awesome!!"
At this moment, Yui and the others on the stage were catching their breath, while the audience below had already become lively.
Seeing this, the four girls exchanged smiles, and Homura also gave a slight nod.
It was time for the emcee to make their entrance.
"In the meantime, let me introduce the band members!"
"First up is our adviser, Yamanaka Sawako-sensei!"
Following Yui's words, at the edge of the auditorium entrance, a beautiful female teacher stood with a look of surprise.
"So, this is Yui-chan's teacher... She's really pretty and seems so gentle..."
Seeing Sawako, the girls remarked as they saw her for the first time.
Indeed, there was no denying that Sawako made a very good first impression. Still, even though she seemed gentle, in truth, there were actually wild moments too.
Meanwhile, Sawako waved and smiled at everyone.
"Next up is our bassist, Mio-chan!"
Mio gave a slightly stiff bow to the audience below.
"Mio-chan's bass is named Elizabeth—"
"That's not true!" Mio immediately cried out, her previous nervousness vanishing in an instant.
""Hahaha—!""
Seeing this sudden funny scene, the audience laughed.
"Eh? Isn't it a bass?" Yui tilted her head.
"It's a bass." Mio responded reflexively.
"Then..."
"But it's not called Elizabeth!" Mio cut off the conversation.
"So what's its name then?" Yui asked in wonder.
Needless to say, this back-and-forth made the audience below laugh with amusement.
"Yui, keep going, keep going!" Ritsu whispered.
"Ah? Oh..." Yui nodded, then faced the audience again. "Next is our keyboardist, Mugi-chan!"
Tsumugi didn't say anything, just performed a solo on the keyboard, then beamed at everyone with a bright smile and waved.
"Speaking of which… does Mugi-chan's keyboard have a name?" Yui asked curiously.
"C'mon, stop fixating on the name already!" Ritsu chimed in loudly, clearly annoyed.
""Hahahaha—!!!""
Seeing this, the audience burst into happy laughter once again.
"It's supposed to be a concert, but Yui managed to turn it into a comedy skit." Homura shook his head with a smile.
"Pfff, comedy skit? Hahahaha..."
Eriri, who hadn't really felt much about Yui's words, couldn't help but laugh at Homura's remark.
"And now, the drummer, who is also the president of our Light Music Club, Ricchan!" Yui continued.
Ritsu stood up, slightly bowed toward the microphone, and said, "Thank you all for coming to our school festival today, and thank you for coming to watch our performance."
"Ritsu's words sound like something a school official would give." Homura remarked sarcastically.
"Ahh, it really does." Honoka nodded with a hint of a smile on her face.
"Ritsu-chan must be nervous." Nozomi said with a slight shake of her head. "What pops into her head are probably similar speech lines."
"Alright, let's move on to the next song!" Ritsu declared.
"Eh?! Is it over already?" Yui's mouth twitched in rare surprise.
It couldn't be helped.
Not everyone could calmly handle a big audience like Yui could.
"Okay, then let's go to the next song—"
"Wait! You forgot to introduce yourself!"
As Yui wanted to bring up the next song, Homura suddenly shouted, interrupting her.
"Ahh, Homuhomu-senpai!" Yui waved at him.
Homura: "…"
Upon hearing Yui's words, Homura's mouth twitched.
'Now you've done it, my cute nickname has spread...'
He covered his face, feeling like many eyes were now focused on him.
Fumino almost burst out laughing as she saw his expression.
"Alright, introduce yourself first!" Homura exclaimed.
"Heehee…"
Yui scratched the back of her head and finally started introducing herself.
"Etto... I'm the guitarist, Hirasawa Yui, and I'm also the lead vocalist for some of the songs! As for why only some of the songs…"
"Next up is 'Don't say lazy'! I hope you all like it!"
Yui declared, hoping everyone would enjoy it.
