[TSSIM] Chapter 464: Girls' Talk

Ring-Ring—!

Just then, Rizu's phone rang suddenly.

As soon as Rizu saw the caller's name, her mouth twitched.

"Ri-chan? Is it Uncle Ogata?" Fumino asked cautiously.

"Ugh... Yeah, it's my dad..." Rizu sighed before answering the call.

"UWAAAHHH—!!! RIZUTAMAAA—!!! WHERE ARE YOUUU?!!!"

Even though Rizu didn't have it on speaker, the huge sobbing voice was loud enough to be heard by everyone.

Except for Homura, Fumino, Uruka, and Miyako, everyone else stared in shock.

Rizu's father really shocked everyone with his actions.

Although they had heard rumors that her father had a bit of a daughter complex, this was on another level, right?

Crying out loud like that?

Seriously?

Let alone them, even Rizu herself was also at a loss.

"Don't cry, I told you already, I'm with Fumino and the others!"

"That's right! Uncle Ogata, we're almost home!" Fumino chimed in hurriedly.

"Ohh... no wonder there's no one at Furuhashi's house..."

Fumino: "..."

Rizu: "..."

Homura: "..."

Both Homura and Fumino were speechless, while Rizu's forehead seemed ready to burst with veins.  

As for the others, they exchanged peculiar looks.  

Why would Rizu's father be at Fumino's house in the first place?  

Was he planning to secretly go there to surprise his daughter or something?  

However, even if that were the case, he didn't need to go that far—crying loudly as if his daughter had been kidnapped or something, right?

They had to admit that Rizu's father was really something.  

Mafuyu, on the other hand, frowned slightly, concerned about Rizu's home situation.  

"Rizutama, you're almost home, right? In that case, let your dad come pick you up!"

"Dad, just go back to the shop!" Rizu refused, looking totally exasperated. "It will be swamped without you there."

"Opening the shop isn't as important as my little angel!" Rizu's father exclaimed, disagreeing without a second thought.

Toot... Toot...

Rizu hung up the call immediately.

Everyone: "..."

"Luckily, my dad's not like that..." Yukiho shivered hard, rubbing her arms as if she were trying to shake off goosebumps.

Honoka nodded in agreement.

"Let's just get everyone home now, or I'm really afraid Uncle Ogata will start crying, running down the street shouting Rizu's name." Homura said with a bitter smile.

Girls: "!!!"

It sounded like a joke, but imagining the behavior of Rizu's father earlier, he just might do something like that!

"I can really picture it now..." Nayuta shivered as well.

Imagining such a scene, Rizu's embarrassment was about to hit an all-time high. If something like that actually happened, she would never be able to show her face in public again!

"Let's go!"

Rizu quickly grabbed Homura and rushed out.

Fumino and the others quickly said their goodbyes and followed right behind, with Honoka and the others trailing after them.

Utaha and the others exchanged speechless glances.

"...What the heck is all this about?" Eriri helplessly shook her head.

"I've heard of it before… but I didn't think it would go this far..." Utaha remarked with an incredulous expression.  

She couldn't help but feel that this level of drama was beyond what she had imagined at the time.  

"Say... if Rizu's dad finds out his daughter is actually liking Homura, do you think he'll show up at our door?" Elf asked with a raised eyebrow.

"A daughter-complex guy like that? He'd definitely show up!" Eriri grumbled.

Utaha thought for a moment and then asked, "I think I heard Homura-kun say that your dad also has a bit of a daughter complex, right, Eriri?"

"Huh? No, my dad is not that bad." Eriri rolled her eyes. "Sure, he has a bit of a daughter complex, but nowhere near Rizu's dad level, okay? At least, if I wanted a boyfriend, sure, my dad might not be happy about it, but if it's Homura, I don't think he would mind."

Truthfully, it was a little awkward for her to admit her own father was the type to dote on his daughter, but at least she cleared things up. She didn't want everyone to think her father was as extreme as Rizu's.

"Oh? If it's Homura-kun, your dad wouldn't mind?" Utaha raised her eyebrows, then smiled teasingly. "However, what if your dad found out that not only are all the girls around Homura-kun actually interested in him, but Homura-kun is also actually open to a harem? What kind of reaction do you think your dad would have?"

"What kind of reaction?" Eriri's face flushed. "He'd probably just be jealous and envious, then pretend to be all righteous and angry about it..."

"What? Just that?"

Utaha paused, caught by surprise for a moment.

"Wait, that's not how it's supposed to go, right? Shouldn't it be more like... your dad wouldn't approve of your relationship no matter what, and then you and your dad would have a huge argument, ending on a bad note?"

Upon hearing this, Eriri gave Utaha a deadpan look.

"You've been reading too many novels, huh? What kind of cheesy drama is that?"

"Che-Cheesy drama...?" Utaha was at a loss for words for the first time, stunned by Eriri's response.

"Any normal guy would envy Homura's situation, don't you agree?" Eriri asked nonchalantly.

"Well... that's true..." Utaha reluctantly nodded. "It's just part of a man's instinct to want to continue and spread his own bloodline as much as possible, I think..."

"Not all guys—it all depends on his ability." Eriri shrugged. "What I mean is... the more capable he is, the more that instinct will amplify. Of course, my dad is no exception... if he's not totally dominated by my mom, he would have a harem already..."

As soon as the girls heard this, they were all taken aback.

Totally dominated?

It sounded somewhat wrong.

"Anyway, it's true that in families like mine, or even in Mugi's and Saori's, this kind of thing is not uncommon..."

Eriri continued, looking toward the ceiling as if in a daze.

"And... who would've known that Homura is such a freak? Not only is he a super talented guy with many outstanding skills, but he is also physically gifted in every way, making it so no woman could ever have him wrapped around her finger."

"What's worse is, he's totally straightforward and honest about it, which only makes you not want to leave him... How likely is it to find someone like him, I wonder?"

Eriri sounded a bit frustrated, even a little helpless, but what could she do if she alone couldn't handle Homura?

Not only was Homura just too good, but he never treated them badly either, so she thought they should just go with it.

"So, you're saying, if you girls all fell for the same guy and told your families about it, your parents would be okay with it?" Utaha asked slowly, frowning a little.

Eriri shook her head and explained.

"If it's Homura, someone we've known since childhood, and both our families have watched us grow up and know everything about us, it's easier to convince them."

"Of course, some families are super controlling, like the ones in those anime with rich main characters, but that's a whole different story."

Except for Elf, the other girls were all pretty stunned, feeling like they were seeing their worldview being rewritten.

But then again, these things were basically open secrets.

For ordinary girls like them, who came from humble origins, Eriri's life sounded like an urban legend, but that didn't mean it was fake.

In the next moment, however, Utaha's face suddenly turned serious.

"If that's the case... once we tell our families, the biggest opposition wouldn't come from you girls from big families, but from us?"

She had originally thought that the biggest opposition would come from prestigious families like Eriri's family, but after hearing Eriri's explanation, maybe the reality was the opposite?

"I told you, if it's Homura, that's a different situation..." Eriri sighed. "But I think... the Shimonoya family and the Fujiwara family would probably be tough ones..."

She wasn't entirely sure about this, since she didn't know much about those two families, so she could only guess.

Elf suddenly chimed in while rolling her eyes.
