[TSSIM] Chapter 490: Smitten

"Wow, that song was amazing!"

Honoka, finally snapping back to reality, clapped her hands.

"By the way, Minamiya-sensei, what's it called?"

"Guess?" Homura asked back with a smirk.

Everyone: "…"

""DON'T WANNA!""

It wasn't just Muse on stage—even the audience below was angrily shouting together!

"Alright, alright, geez... If I don't tell you, there'll be a riot." Homura chuckled while shaking his head. "Well, the song's called 'My World, Your World'."

"Is that really the name?" Kotori nodded thoughtfully. "Um, it sounds nice! What are you planning to do with that song, Minamiya-sensei? Will it be used in any upcoming works?"

"Hmm, there's a chance, but it's not for sure." Homura shrugged his shoulders.

In fact, there were some anime that could fit, but, of course, otome-themed anime was definitely out of the question for him.

"So you're saying it's not being used right now?" Maki asked as well.

"Yeah, no plans to use it at the moment. We'll have to wait and see." Homura nodded with a smile.

"AHHH—!!!"

A scream suddenly came from the audience below.

"What's wrong? Did someone step on your foot?" Homura quickly asked.

""PFFFT—!!!""

Upon hearing Homura's question, the audience, which had been a little tense and fidgety, immediately burst into laughter.

"No one stepped on my foot! It's just that I forgot to record the song!"

Everyone: "…"

"Crap! Me too!"

"NOOO!!! I also forgot!"

"How could I forget?!"

Many people exclaimed one after another—it was clear that they were all in distress.

Some people had even taken their phones out earlier, but as soon as Homura sang, they froze and forgot everything.

"Seriously, you're all freaking out just because you forgot to record a song?" Homura remarked, wiping sweat off his forehead.

"Right! Minamiya-sensei, can you sing it again?!"

"Seriously, who asks a guest performer to perform again?" Homura shook his head. "Besides, even if you recorded it, you can't spread it around. You'll have to keep it to yourselves."

"No! I just want to record it for myself! Please, Minamiya-sensei!"

One of the girls in the audience spoke desperately.

Seeing this, Eriri and the other girls couldn't help but burst into smiles.

They were different, after all.

Even though they didn't record it, they had Homura, right? If they wanted to hear the song again, they could just ask him to sing it again or even have him record it for them—no problem!

Moreover, this concert wasn't live-streamed but recorded, and later on, the recorded video would be uploaded to Muse's official page.

Seeing many desperate faces in the audience, especially the girls', Homura pointed to the camera in front of them.

"Calm down, alright? It's being recorded. You'll be able to find the video of today's concert on Muse's page later!"

"Fine…"

In the end, the audience reluctantly agreed, though most of them were girls.

Homura sighed with relief, wiped his sweat, and then handed the stage back to Muse.

After a few more words of gratitude to the audience, Muse officially announced that the concert was over.

As for Homura and the others, they went off to find a quiet place to wait for Honoka and the others.

===

By the time Honoka and the others had come out, everyone decided to wait a bit longer, planning to set off once the crowd had thinned out.

"You know, the song Minamiya-senpai sang earlier really freaked me out..." Yukiho remarked, sticking out her tongue.

"Eh? What's scary about Homura-kun's song? It was so good though." Honoka said, looking at her sister with a puzzled expression.

"I guess Minamiya-senpai didn't hear the people behind me talking, right?" Yukiho turned to ask Homura instead.

"Nope, the applause was way too chaotic." Homura shook his head. "By the time it reached me, I couldn't make out anything. What I have is good hearing, not some super ability like super hearing, after all."

"Umu." Yukiho nodded, then continued. "Well, since the people speaking were right behind me and Alisa, practically next to our ears, I could still hear their words clearly."

"C'mon, spill it! What did you hear?!" Honoka asked eagerly, practically dying of curiosity.

"Hmm... a girl said to her mom, 'Mom... I think I've fallen in love...'" Yukiho said, imitating the girl who had muttered behind her before.

"Huh? What's wrong with that?" Eriri raised her eyebrows. "When your sister and the others did a concert in Akihabara before, didn't Homura do a dance there? I bet they said something even worse than that."

"No, the key part was what the mom said next." Yukiho shook her head.

"So, what did she say?" Homura asked hesitantly, having a bad feeling about it.

"Well, the mom said, 'Really? But I can't blame you... Mom seems to have fallen in love too...'"

Saying this, Yukiho even used the voice acting technique Homura had taught her, sounding pretty spot-on.

Homura: "..."

'Bruh, I actually guessed it right!'

Homura's lips twitched uncontrollably.

Meanwhile, the girls were stunned since that statement was really something!

"Pfff, Yukiho... Ugh, you're not joking, right?" Nico asked with difficulty, desperately holding back her laughter.

"I'm not! Alisa heard it too!" Yukiho grabbed Alisa to back her up.

"Yep! I heard it too!" Alisa kept nodding. "Yukiho was even scared, wondering if her mom was the same!"

As soon as these words were spoken, Nico's laughter suddenly stopped.

Honoka, on the other hand, stared at her sister with a completely blank look.

Seeing this, Yukiho rolled her eyes a bit.

"Well, that's why I said I was a bit freaked out by the song..." Yukiho said with a little embarrassed tone, realizing how weird her thoughts had been back then.

""Hahahaha—!!!""

In an instant, waves of laughter filled the once-silent atmosphere, and of course, the ones laughing the hardest were Nico and Elf.

As for Homura, he looked quite helpless.

How was he supposed to know that one song would cause so much trouble?

It looked like he needed to be careful with certain songs from otome-themed anime from now on to avoid these kinds of bizarre situations.

However, not everyone was laughing, like Kotori.

"I think Yukiho-chan's worries are pretty valid... I'm a little scared that my mom might get weird too..." Kotori said, looking a bit concerned.

Everyone: "???"

"Wait, wait, wait, hold your horse..." Homura said with a wry smile. "Seriously, what am I supposed to do now? I'm never going to sing again with this hanging over me, you know."

"Well, it's because Homura-kun sings so well..." Kotori said while blushing. "I'm a girl, so I'm pretty sure that most of the girls who watched your performance were totally smitten..."

Hearing this, Homura shook his head.

"Let's put aside the fact that what you call 'smitten' is probably just a temporary impulse, something they'll forget in two hours. As for your mom... with her experience, it's nearly impossible for the thing you're worried about to happen."

"Yeah, Kotori's overthinking it." Eli chimed in with a chuckle. "You know, that situation earlier was actually the kind of fangirling most girls our age would do. Do you really think your mom's got that kind of fangirl mentality now?"

Kotori thought for a moment, then, with her face reddening, nodded in agreement.

"Mm... guess you're right..."

Remembering what she had just said, Kotori lowered her head, feeling embarrassed.
