Star Wars Day!

I think I gravitate more towards Star Trek, but I still remember the day I saw "Star Wars" for the first time when I was 11 years old. It was a Friday afternoon, and as soon as the movie ended, I bought another ticket and saw it again. That magical movie influenced me a lot, although one of the first images in my memory is Mr Spock lifting his eyebrow towards me from the tv screen :)
I took this pics on 2017 and used them for two posts, one on May 4th that year, and the other on 2018. I just reedited the 2018 version with a higher resolution just in case you want to use it as a wallpaper. May the force be with you!

Iโve read a lot of sci fi myself and it has given me some of the best moments in my life. Those caverns of steel, the Dyson ring, the short stories by Philip K Dickโฆ and of course the movies. She was wonderful by introducing you to the genre with 2001. Thatโs a movie to watch without any preconceptions and she was changing your minds forever. Amazing indeed. 2021-05-05 10:29:53 +0000 UTCmy father was against anything scifi and we lived far from town so I didn't have opportunity to watch star wars at the theater. but I had a wonderful tearcher at school which introduced our class to scifi writers like asimov, arthur c clarke, herbert, d simak, k dick and others... and she organized a morning to watch 2001 space odyssey. first time I saw a scifi movie and I was just... totally amazed. she was a total punk. may the force be with you. live long and prosper!
