I watched a different translation of the hanging corpses in episode 8 and it was translated to “the meat was salted and now hanging to cure”, rather than this translation of ‘Hanging Corpse Forest’. So I think the reason the guy tasted his hand is because he smelled curing meat and just thought it would be normal salt and didn’t expect to look up and see human corpses. Either way… blehh 🤮
