Behind the walls where cruel words fell,
I felt alone in my own hell.
Their laughter sharp, their taunts like knives,
Each day I fought to stay alive.
But in the gloom, a light appeared,
A friend who saw, a heart sincere.
They reached for me with gentle hands,
And showed me where true friendship stands.
With caring eyes and words so kind,
They stood by me, their heart aligned.
In their embrace, I found my strength,
They gave me hope, they went great lengths.
When darkness loomed and tears would flow,
They stood by me, refused to go.
With every tear they wiped away,
They taught me I would be okay.
In laughter shared and moments bright,
They turned my wrongs into a right.
Their love a shield against the pain,
A shelter safe from pouring rain.
With every step, they walked beside,
Through stormy seas and rising tide.
Their faith in me a guiding star,
They showed me just how strong we are.
Now when I'm back into the past,
Dreaming of pain that couldn't last,
I think of friends who stayed so true,
Who saw my scars and loved me through.
For in their hearts, I found my place,
A home of warmth, a saving grace.
In friendship's light, I rise and stand,
With them, I hold a stronger hand.
