Office Questions - ANSWERED

Sorry in advance for the length, but y'all asked so many things!! Here are some answers written by me (Kristen) but with input from Jesse as he knows some answers I maybe don't:

------

Q:  How many rooms are not used by Youtubers/streamers in the building?
A:  Currently all our own office rooms are filled, but there are maybe 3-5 other businesses in our building that are completely separate from ours (we don't know the exact amount lol)

Q:  With all of Team Jesse sharing a room (I presume?) are baked beans strictly forbidden?
A:  If only.......... Also only Jesse and I share a room, Tucker has his own space down the hall! Which on the bean front makes him much luckier :P

Q:  I'm curious about the gaming PC specification and which monitors Jesse is using?
A:  The PC itself is a 2-in-1 computer, using a Phantaks Mini XL Dual System Case. One of the computers is used for rendering, and the other is used for playing stuff. Both his main computer monitors are Dell S2716DGs, and then he uses some random Dell monitor for the render boi.

Q:  Who is Pupboi Wallace most fond of excluding Kellie and Alex? And what other pets come to the office regularly?
A:  Actually Wallace and I get along super well! He'll sit close to me and look up at me for a long time if I stop petting him...though he does still bark if I surprise him lmao. As for other pets, Santell from SuperCouchFighters sometimes brings his dog JJ, and Davis brings his pup Snoopy when they record SGS or SWNCBC.

Q:  What easy-on-the-pocketbook editing software would you recommend and how hard would it be to learn/any guides you can recommend?
A:  Honestly Jesse went from using Windows Movie Maker to Adobe Premiere specifically because they had deals for college students :P So sadly he has nooo idea. But hey WMM is terrible but it gets the job done if you need it! As for learning curve, personally I didn't know anything about editing and kind of just played around with Premiere when I first started working with Jesse. I'm still slow with it since I don't edit/practice but the basics weren't particularly hard to figure out as long as I googled my questions (:

Q:  Who is the worst at cleaning up behind themselves? Who usually leaves a mess in the office kitchen?
A:  The kitchen area itself doesn't get too out of control, but we do have a fridge curse where like half the office forgets to clean out their stuff LOL

Q:  I'm more interested in how you support Jesse. Is there even a usual day-to-day routine? Or do you find yourself doing random stuff everyday?
A:  For the most part things change depending on the day, what projects he has going on, what his travel schedule is, etc etc. The best way I can blanket-statement the bulk of it is:
- taking care of time-consuming tasks (all the shipping, his personal errands, giveaways, organizing meetups, etc)
- be his stand-in when he can't be in two places at once (meetings, waiting for, say, a deliveryman at his house while he works at the office, picking up Crendor from the airport, things like that)
- manning the fort when he travels (managing Team Jesse, uploading videos, making sure shit gets done)
- helping him keep track of everything (his schedule, making sure he remembers Coxcon details for example, reminding him about emails, all that good stuff)
- hanging out with all of you on Twitch & Patreon!!
Sorry if I can't be more specific than that - like I said it's such a variety of things but I hope this at least gives you some idea (:

Q:  Who keeps the office clean? Do you hire people or does the office have a cleaning crew?
A:  Aside from our general office-wide cleaning crew, each team is kind of responsible for their own space, though we do have Ted who will organize common areas from time to time.

Q:  Does everyone get along or are there pockets of people who don't interact with each other?
A:  We're lucky - we all get along REALLY well! We all hang out a lot even outside of work, play games together, go out, shoot the shit every day at the office...not just the Youtubers/streamers but all the support staff as well. We don't really have an upstairs/downstairs Downton Abbey type thing going here hahah so yeah we're all good buds (:

Q:  Since you mentioned sound proofing - what's you current solution, what solutions have you tried, does dust collecting on the foam bits become an issue (assuming you use them) and how noticeable is the noise reduction?
A:  Currently our main solution is more microphone related. Jesse's is a Shure SM7B which is specifically designed for noisy areas; it picks up sound directly in front of the mic without echo, but not sounds like me typing loudly on my keyboard next to Jesse. It does pick some vocal stuff up though, which is why sometimes you guys can hear me on stream! In addition our office has had some soundproofing done to the walls which have helped a lot, as the foam only helped a little (especially when Dodger screamed on stream LOL)

Q:  How did you all decide to work in the same building?
A:  This was before my time, but as I understand Jirard is the one who originally got the office, and he reached out to his friends to see who might be interested in renting a space. Dodger and Jesse were the first to sign on, the idea being they would have a work space separate from their living/chill space, and that they could get out of the house more and see/collab with their friends without feeling cooped up at home. Since then, whenever there's a new space available Jirard reaches out to more friends and see if anyone wants to hang out with us every day :P

Q:  How do you guys handle scheduling collaboration type stuff? Are there specific days that some people are free or do you guys just wing it?
A:  Depends on the collab! Everyone tries to schedule things ahead of time though. If it's like, Jesse and Dodger planning on recording, it's maybe a few days-a week ahead, but if it's something involving more people like Multiplayer Mayhem or Defend It shoots, those will be scheduled maybe even a month in advance. For the most part everyone has to be somewhat flexible though, as last minute things pop up all the time!

------

And that's it! Sorry if I didn't get to your question, but hopefully this covers a good chunk of em and you have a little more insight as to the goings-on of Cox Towers. We'll likely do another one of these later on so if you have any burning questions you forgot to ask - don't worry! We will be here 8)
