WHAT UP GANG IT'S ALEJANDRO THE ASSISTANT EDITOR AND THIS IS MY GAME AWARDS RECAP BECAUSE I WENT TO THE GAME AWARDS WITH MY BUDDY AND IT WAS PRETTY NEAT. HERE'S A PIC OF ME AND MY BUDDY BRAYDEN AND ATREUS' ACTOR SUNNY SULJIC
I'VE MET AND WORKED WITH A LOT OF CELEBRITIES IN MY DAY BUT WHEN I SAW THE CAST OF GOD OF WAR IN THE LOBBY I AUDIBLY GASPED AND LOST CONTROL OF MYSELF. I'VE NEVER LOST MY COMPOSURE LIKE THAT FOR SOMEBODY.
I ALSO MET A GUY NAMED JIRARD THE COMPLETIONIST BUT HE COMES TO THE OFFICE ALL THE TIME SO I WAS LIKE "oh its Jirard"
AL PACINO WAS PAID A LOT OF MONEY TO BE THERE AND WAS VISIBLY CONFUSED AS ALL OLD PEOPLE ARE. THEN THERE WAS PEDRO PASCAL AND KEEGAN MICHAEL KEY AND HOZIER AND ANIMAL AND OTHER PEOPLE WHO COULD PERSONALLY BUY ME WITH THEIR IMMENSE WEALTH. OVERALL THE SHOW WAS PRETTY DOPE AND WHILE IT IS JUST ONE BIG CEREMONY TO GLAMOUR AND EXTRAVAGANCE IT WAS VERY FUN AND I LIKE POMP AND CIRCUMSTANCE. GOD OF WAR GOT ROBBED BY ELDEN RING FOR GoTY AND I WAS GONNA CHARGE MIYAZAKI ON STAGE BUT A LITTLE FRENCH BOY BEAT ME TO IT.
Alright gang time to get serious. This is my last week (of the year) here at the office. Next week I'm working on a tv show and then the week after I'm flying to my parent's house so I just wanna take this moment to thank all of you and my coworkers for my first year working at Cox Omnimedia. This has definitely been the nicest job I've ever had. I don't ever have to be stressed out about it and I can just be a silly billy everyday like I naturally want to. If you told me a year ago that I'd be making a video of Jesse Cox sensually finger banging a dead duck I'd probably be incredibly confused.
Thank you everyone for such a good year and I'll see you in the next one.

P.S. I finished reading The Mistborn Series by Brandon Sanderson and if anybody has any book recommendations let me know!

Elantris and Warbreaker are definitely going on the read list. I'm trying to figure out what other Cosmere relevant books would be there that would help me piece it all together (Hoid and Shardpools and all that jazz). Also I meant I finished Era 1 of Mistborn, Era 2 im gonna hammer out when I go to visit my parents for Christmas. The Broken Earth Trilogy is definitely going on the list for 2023 because of all the glowing recommendations. - Alejandro

2022-12-14 17:50:02 +0000 UTCIf you like Brandon Sanderson and want more, I suggest trying some of his standalone works next like Elantris and Warbreaker. The Emperor's Soul is a FANTASTIC novella, too. Really neat concept and a quick read. If you want something super different, N.K. Jemisin's The Broken Earth Trilogy is high recommended (there's a reason each book won a Hugo Award).

There's a new book in the series coming out next year and they've also got probably my favourite narrator, Simon Vance, recording it and re-recording the first trilogy which I'm quite excited for

2022-12-13 23:24:40 +0000 UTCI'm a huge fan of Brent Week's Night Angel Trilogy and Lightbringer series. I'm also a fan of Patrick Rothfuss' Kingkiller Chronicles (The Name of the Wind and The Wise Man's Fear) but beware if you read those you'll be stuck waiting forever for book 3 like the rest of us. I like some of Sanderson's books but overall feel like some of the books need a bit more editing as they can be very long with stuff that might be interesting to a super fan of the world but not a hugely relevant detail to the book itself.
