Weekly status report

The last week was again workintensive. I've started with the implementation of the new maps on monday and continued to add new game mechanics that I wanted to use for Arianna's quest after that I started writing the dialogues.
Turned out it took way longer than I expected. In some part that was caused by the new area and some ideas that I had in mind and another problem was that I wasn't happy with my idea of Arianna's story. I will discribe this more detailed in the next paragraph.

Like with all previous updates I had a general plan what I wanted to bring in this update. It usually starts with a story idea and then I imagine what kind of sex scene could fit into that story. This time however I had problems with that. The motivation behind Arianna wanting sex with the MC didn't make sense and so everything felt off. My first idea was to picture her a bit naive when it comes to sex and so out of curiosity she would want it. But the more I thought about her story that didn't fit the situation (there is a dangerous beast in the area and she wants to take her pants off?!). For this reason, I've changed my original story idea for her into something that feels more unique and also fits into future motifs of her quest series.

So long story short, because of all this back and forth the update isn't complete yet. There were some annoying bugs in the current version (you can bypass all talent checks with esc) that took some time to fix and some of the mechanics I wanted to implement didn't work right away as planned. But now that all of that is figured out I'm making good progress. I will work for the rest of today and also this saturday because I really want to get this update finished. If the testing goes well I will release it early in the coming week.

I would have preferred to present the finished update today and I hope you have a bit more patience with me. But as the release is now close I will put up the next content and bonus scene polls in the coming week.
