Added 2017-05-09 03:13:42 +0000 UTCat work i was trying to figure out what to shoot today, and was hoping for a great sky. there wasn't a cloud to be seen mid day and I got the idea of using a red filter to darken a blue sky.
I learned this technique using film back in the day, and decided to try something different. Shooting in monochrome mode on the D800 you can emulate a red filter. Then I put an actual red 25 filter on the lens for added effect. This is basically straight out of the camera.
