Caligula is ripe for a remake

2025-06-07 16:34:08 +0000 UTCCaligula (1979) is interesting, at the very least. Some of it works, some of it is a car crash but Malcolm MacDowell is very good as Caligula. The movie was filmed with the actor/stars in it, then after filming was completed and the stars left, further in-costume shooting was done on the set of the film but with pornographic actors, the XXX material was then spliced into the existing film. Much to the fury and dismay of most of the original cast. Though Helen Mirren probably didn't mind.
