Pete Postlewaite's greatest role was in 2 episodes of Sharpe with Sean Bean. Plays one of the best literary and tv villains ever, Obadiah Haksswill. His performance is that good, you literally hate him to the point of loving him for the amazing way he portrayed the character...couldn't be more of an opposite to the character of Giuseppe in this film

2025-11-03 22:49:31 +0000 UTCGreat film, and today some have the nerve to in general criticise today's policing vs 'back in the day' when this kind of stuff went on... it's a far cry from 24 hrs in police custody lol. Some good actors playing the Special Branch detectives, the blonde little cockney one is Phil Davis who makes an appearance in Sherlock when you Get around to it King Boomer, he was also the main supporting actor in a series called Whitechapel, where in the first series someone 'copy cat' the jack the ripper murders in at the time modern day London, around 2010, think was made. He was also in one of Gary Oldman's first films about football violence which I saw recently for the first time, where Gary Oldman played one of the lead West Ham 'hooligans' and Phil Davis played one of the leads of a rival 'firm'.
