Happy new year everyone! I had a chill night in knitting pokemon mittens and watching some Hell On Earth. Was invited out to my besties (where we'd both just chill and do nothing), but realized both our social, physical and mental energies were drained, so we changed our minds. Glad to hear you're still happy with your sobriety and all that comes with it! I feel the same about drinking for those day off holidays. Getting shit faced for the sake of getting shit faced never made sense to me. I love the idea of a period piece. I also really like the clicky buttons of the phone. Always have and I doubt very much if that’s something that will eventually change like with age or whatever. When the opportunity arises I do intentionally go into full hermit mode lol… and I love it! But hey that’s me, but I do genuinely feel for people who feel like they’d be happier and more content with someone with them… even though I personally don’t get it. I get all that 💯. You’re right it is depressing to see all that, I hate being around drunkenness and I haven’t been to any boozy social events or nights out since I stopped drinking 5 years ago. That kinda company that you mentioned that day in the hot tub, it is very trivial and basic. Shows you got some finesse bro. Like no one is opposed to a blow job I’m sure but just talking about that stuff especially drunk is just vulgar lol. Socialism and getting shit faced is 2 different things that some people feel like is the same thing… No one would go out and “socialise” all day and night and just drink juice or soda would they? Hardly anyone would go out and so it’s completely normal to do it the way you are without drinking. I totally love and respect these honest and out in the open rambles, they make my day. You are so right - memories are definitely better when not blurred by drink. Had the most wholesomely sober NYE with friends ... fancy dress, good food, competitive board games and truly terrible karaoke ... it was the best night 😊 ... even sloshing home in the mad UK weather was fun. I hope 2025 brings you all that you wish for, you deserve it ... including a kind, funny, chilled, coffee-drinking, nocturnal, no-dog-allergy, works-from-home, local goddess who doesn't think ASMR is weird 😆

Happy New Year. I'm not a big fan of new year either. Better to start the new year with a clear head with no alcohol involved. Yeah, dating is difficult. I don't tend to meet people in social settings so I thought online apps would have been good but I seem to attract the weirdos.
