Multiple Response Polls vs. Singular Response Polls
Added 2020-02-28 13:07:00 +0000 UTCIn the last Request a Roleplay poll I asked the question of, "Would you prefer Request a Roleplay Polls to allow multiple choices, or to continue to allow only one?"
There were a few comments supporting both choices, but not enough to make a concrete decision for the entire Patreon community. I also realised that quite a few of you are shy (which I understand, it's okay! But do feel free to share your opinion; no one will bite here!)
So, the best way to solve a question about polls-- is to have a poll about it!
The benefits of a Singular Vote Poll is to force a clear victor. However, this does mean that you can't show your support for more video ideas (which I may revisit in the future if I have free time). A way to offset this would be to comment your second/third favourites in the comments, but for the shyer patrons they may not prefer this.
The benefits of a Multiple Vote Poll is to show support for more video ideas. However the downside would be that ties would be more common, and would result in tiebreaker polls and be more busywork. However, it would be easier for the shy patrons to show their support for more videos without having to comment.
I'll let this poll run indefinitely, and endeavor to use the format decided here starting in March!
(--also, ironically, this poll will be singular vote. Don't wanna have a tiebreaker for this one!)
