We never get to see Alucard mourn for his mother, and now his father is dead, necessarily, by his own hand. When he's finally left alone, all that brooding melancholy we've seen in S2 just melts away into raw, unfettered grief for the life that was stolen from him. If Isaac didn't exist, Alucard would have maybe the best emotional arc of the show.
