also it's wierd never hearing the english , hearing you guys call emilia, mili or whatever her nickname is in english... her nickname is Emilia-tan in japanese

But in this context it means they smile together talking about the future, because Japanese word for laugh also means smile. Also Ram said Lord Roswaal is the greatest magic-user in the kingdom in episode 3 or 4 As for the Dragon, Subaru asks Ram about it after telling her the Ogre story.
