This anime was amazing to watch and I would easily put it in my top 7-8. It was meant to be confusing for the first 40-50% of the series, only to get wrapped up beautifully. It didn't need a long story, just one that got it done correctly in 24 episodes.

If you do decide to watch Steins Gate 0 then be warned that it's not as good and it has a very different feel to it. Almost feels like a completely different show. It's not bad, but don't go in expecting a lot because you will probably be disapointed. That said, it helps to answer some questions and is a fun ride if you want to delve deeper into the universe.
