That ramen scene was so random lol. I wonder if it was in the manga and they just had to put it in because the studio liked those specific chapters idk. Cause ik the studio that does Love is War skips a few chapters here and there

About Japanese romance its very vanilla old-school type most of the time everything progress slow like holding hands after 10 eps and kissing after 20 eps its quite common in most of romance anime, not all tho, some are more western or unique.
