On the fact whether Suzaku would recognize Lelouch based on only his eye: It doesn't really matter, because you generally forget anything shortly before the geass takes effect and during the time your directly following the orders given through the geass (because Geass is directly messing with your brain). That's why Villetta only vaguely remembered Lelouch being at the first battlefield but not him giving her the order to give her nightmare to him.
