True!
And the only way to try and save any semblance of what Euphy and he wanted to achieve is for him to immediately start lying again and further besmirch the name of a person he loved.😕

Thats a good thing, because suzaku is currently geassed to "survive" no matter what. So if euphie tried to pull a gun on him, hed flip it around and end up shooting her against his own will. Which is probably the only way to make it more tragic for suzaku, but it is bitter sweet that euphies love overcame the geass to prevent that from happening.

Upon rewatch, while euphies end is one of the greatest tragedies in all of anime. i think another tragedy that really compounds this for lelouch, is that lelouch is a liar, always has been, always had to be. To the point where everyone knows him to be a liar, and they still dont even know how much he is hiding even from his lvoed ones. In this one instance, he was trying to be honest with euphemia. He was confiding in her about his geass and his true power. He tried to tell the total truth. And look what happened, it cost him his sister and caused a massacre because lelouch the liar wanted to be honest with someone he loved. How deeply sad for lelouch as a character. He cant even have a real relationship with the people hes sacrificing everything to create a better world for. And in the process hes hurting them as well. Nunally loved euphie, suzaku REALLY loved euphie, This rebellion is costing him so much its spilling out to the people around him. I really feel sad for lelouch. Hes got one of the most tragic lives in fiction.

The episode we all waited for!
Also what hits me most whenever I rewach this episode is how long Euphy fights against the order. We've never seen anyone hesitate even a second in following Lelouch's orders, but killing all the Japanese is just so strongly against her nature that she couldn't just accept it like that😥😥
