I think one of the most interesting parts of this show is that Tsukasa isn't just really strong but also really quite smart. Like in this episode where he immediately realizes that Senku's probably making gunpowder. This was really unexpected when watching the show for the first time, as most people in anime usually only have either brain or brawns but not both🤔😅 Also to the question as to how Tsukasa knew they were going to try and make gunpowder: I'd assume he knows that you need sulfure somwhere in the process of making it and he understood that they were heading in the general direction of a place with a lot of hot springs were you can find a lot of sulfure. This shows that Tsukasa has a lot of general knowledge. But the show also shows that he's still not quite as smart as Senku, as he says: "Senku can do it." This implies, he himself wouldn't know how exactly to make gunpowder (even though he seems to know at least some of the general ingredients).
