Also you can see on otto's land dragon after it came back, a knife that the cult uses, so it was them who killed him. And it is assumed that before dying otto sent the dragon towards subaru to maybe save him, once he came to his senses and the fear of the white whale went away, either that or he did it as his last noble act before death at the hand of the cult.

2022-07-28 15:00:23 +0000 UTCthe only music cut from the original is the ending songs that start playing at the end of episodes, but since the director's cut combines two episodes into one, the first of the couple does not get the ending song. But the director's cut also changes up the animations, like the color of the blood in some scenes, which makes it arguably better in that sense.

2022-07-28 13:04:36 +0000 UTCAs I mentioned in another comment, Roswall found Rem and Ram after their village got destroyed, so I wouldn't directly assign him to the witch's cult. But you'll find more about this later. Just don't want you guys to come to a wrong conclusion accidentally, since those things that'll happen later might falsely deepen that preconception of yours. Oh and the fact that the witch's cult attacks emilia isn't surprising, actually as felix mentioned, they even expected something like that, so just announcing emilia, a half-elf to the entire kingdom was enough to catch the attention of the cult. It's not mentioned directly, but not that many people knew of emilia's existence up till now.

2022-07-27 03:42:33 +0000 UTCIt isn't something so easy to go through death itself in order to rewind things. This series doesn't downplay how terrible and scary death can be. You also have to keep in mind that subaru isn't guaranteed to return after he dies. It keeps happening but nothing has confirmed that it would never stop rewinding him back. So thinking that in the back of your mind is scary if you don't know if that death will be your last.
