There is also two sub scripts as well, the old ADV version and the Netflix version.

2022-12-21 03:44:03 +0000 UTCYes, there are 2 dubs the old one one in The Perfect Collection box set DVDs which has extended episodes and all, that was the dub that most people are familiar with and love. Then There is the Netflix dub that isn't as good, it's ok but not as good. The Perfect Collection even had the add on movies. But then you get to even weirder stuff where you have the Rebuild of Evangelion movies which is a 4 part movie series to re tell the series in a different way, so there's that too.

Though that may be my bias from the nostalgia of watching it in dub. I'd also recommend the "End of Evangelion" movie (I'm talking about just that movie, not the series of movies).

Overall old titles should be watched is sub since dub really became good in some titles recently, it was really bad in old days, and most of cringy memes came from old anime dub version's. Many people also sympathize with old dubs since it was what they watched as children, for example some people will say Bleach dub is good, but first arcs are quite cringy in dub version.
