I think we're agreeing it could take that shape but unless you have a lot of power it'd be inefficient lol. The only way I could see a firearm Zanpakuto useful were it more of Kido type but even then it would be super complicated. lol

2023-03-12 08:29:20 +0000 UTCI think what Vasto was trying to get across was not that a zanpakuto can’t manifest as a gun, but if it did it wouldn’t manifest in a way that would create a paradigm shift in power. When it comes down to it, the power of a zanpakuto is based on the user's spiritual pressure, and after that it is how they wield it. So a low level soul reaper could have zanpakuto that manifest as a gun, but it doesn’t mean it’s more deadly that Ikkakku’s “spear”.

I mean that would be like saying swords in the spiritual world need steel when but steel is a physical object so it can't actually exist in a purely spiritual world because soul reapers can't interact physical objects, except for when they can. I mean Bleach has a ton of plot holes if you're going to start pulling at threads. I don't wanna give any spoilers but the leader of the stealth groups basically uses the maximum equivalent on a fire arm. I mean breaking it down missiles are just bullets fired from a much larger gun, they still use the same basic physics.
