2020-08-09 21:32:04 +0000 UTCAbout the season 5 thing you saw, before season 4 launched they announced that the creators of Rick and Morty had signed a new long term contract with Adult Swim for 70 more episodes. They had previously been working season to season so they always had to wait until they could agree on a contract before they started writing new episodes which is why it took so long between seasons. Now that they won't have to renegotiate between every new season anymore (for 60 more episodes anyway since season 4 was 10 episodes) they can just keep the writing process flowing and the gap between seasons will be more normal.
