2020-10-12 23:56:17 +0000 UTCThe show got canceled after Season 5 aired, this was because Disney bought Star Wars and this show was on Cartoon Network. So season 5 was an abrupt end to the show. Season 6 were episodes that the show runners had started on when they got canceled. They finished some and aird them on Netflix. Then years later, season 7 was produced for Disney+. That's why there are "three-ish" endings for the show. The end of season 5, when it got canceled, the end of season 6 when they aired a few more episodes they had started working on, and finally the end of season 7, which was planned as the original finally that we never got but eventually did. There are other stories that were meant to be episodes of the clone wars that were later turned to comics and books. I'm sure you'll hear more about those as you get closer to later arcs and people suggest you check them out for more context.
